ha, not sure. Like I said, i’m shit at selling myself and feel like i’m touting, pushing for likes. I really have to try and change my thought processes otherwise this isn’t going to work is it? such a silly billy.
Same with music, Warp isn’t going to knock on my door and sending labels links feels icky so I never did it.
There’s a few artists in my local community FB groups who post a fair bit.
I guess they get commisions from that and offer art classes and stuff.
My friends out doing their thing in the art world get more traction from being involved in and selling in art fairs, exhibiting in regional galleries and art festivals than any social media. Getting out there and talking to people in the same boat, people organising these events and meeting customers and making that connection.
I was thinking about social media use this morning and it crossed my mind that if AI reaches superhuman intelligence level or AGI we will probably become more addicted to AI than we are to social media.
If AI is smarter than you, then if you run every idea you have past AI it will come up with a better idea. People who constantly refer to AI, or who let AI make their decisions, will do better in life than people who rely on their less capable human brain.
Perhaps influencers will evolve into AInfluencers. In any case, it’s probably going to be awful.
Yeah I think this is the way too. Visiting galleries, asking, talking.
Missus keeps sending me links that she sees on insta of places calling for artists and I think most of them look weird.
I think anybody inviting submissions - whether it’s for art, music, writing or whatever else - is either desperate and therefore not worth bothering about, or will rip you off.

I just had to pop out. Carried my skateboard and 3 pot plants up a big long hill. People everywhere. It was harrowing.

I live surrounded by farms, 2.5 miles from 2 secluded beaches, and 4 miles + to the nearest shop.
Its amazing until all the leased landrover dry robe Michael Fabricants show up for the summer

During lockdown and the associated travel bans, I used to vicariously celebrate for people around the world who could, for a brief time, enjoy ‘their’ un-shared beaches, squares, villages, lakes, etc. without masses of dickhead tourists.
