On my own I watch YouTube more than anything else, and premium makes the experience way way better. Can also download stuff for travel
I watch a mix of videos about hobbies and interests including some skate stuff
Rarely watch Netflix or Prime unless for a specific show or a random movie with wife
When I pop the telly on my thumb automatically goes to YouTube.
I wish there was a button I could press to never see another of Alf’s stupid longboards on instagram ever again.
+1 for YouTube premium. Also comes with YouTube music and offline playing. Much better value than Spotify IMO
There’s a lesser tier of Youtube premium that is almost as good and remove 99% of ads, but it half the price.
I mostly watch YouTube on a computer where somehow or other uBlock adblocker still works so don’t get any ads at all. Although chrome keeps telling me that the plugin is no longer supported.
£12.99 for youtube premium at the mo. i’d say it’s 75% of my viewing output.
I’ve had to tighten the purse strings as I’m currently unemployed, so have cancelled Spotify premium, YouTube premium and my VPN. Life is an ad filled hell.
Honestly, Spotify with ads is the absolute worst, it’s barely useable, and I seem to be getting ads every 8 minutes on YouTube livestreams which is hugely annoying
I use Chrome browser with AdBlock extension, have done for years, never get a single ad on Youtube or Youtube Music. I don’t get why you’d need premium? Apart from maybe for offline playing, but I’ve never needed that

I use Brave browser and had no need for youtube premium… but then I started watching a lot more on my phone and there’s no way I’m putting up with adverts in the middle of my sudoku videos.
But AdBlock stops all ads. So you’re paying for premium because you watch offline on planes? You must be on some Taylor Swift air miles levels.
Sign into chrome on your phone, watch youtube on that, adblock does its job
You also get youtube music thrown in. I switched over from spotify when that neil young thing was going on and haven’t looked back.
Actually find the suggestions better from YT music and also you can add music from videos on YT to playlists that cannot be found otherwise
just signed up for YT premium.

Offline on planes, and multiple devices (iPads, TVs) for the kids. Premium covers everywhere I’m logged in without me having adblock.
I don’t doubt it works great, it’s just easier for me. I don’t like subscriptions but I feel it gives enough value to merit the price.
