I don’t understand big houses. It’s just more rooms with chairs in. You only have one arse, you can’t sit everywhere at once.
We see it all the time at work when architects send their plans to be printed out, we get to see lots of insane builds and the plans just show rooms and rooms with sofas in. and secret rooms underground that have no purpose.

I was a little stuck with a small diy project. Then I chanced my luck with an old Tupperware of odds and sods that I have had for years and never used. Repurposed 4 old washers. a real coming of age experience.

Has anyone tried booking an AirBnB recently?
It’s not processing my payment when I go to reserve a place. It says we can’t contact your bank and fails. I have every bit of my profile filled out and am verified etc.
My wife also created an account from fresh. Tried her card and it’s the same error message.
I don’t think the payment request even reaches my bank because I get notifications of all transactions including failed ones. Feels like an AirBnB problem.
Just wondering if anyone’s had the same problem recently.
I’ve booked two in the last few months and didn’t have any problems. Are you both with the same bank? I’m with Barclays.
I’m trying my HSBC using a debit card and my wife’s using a Tesco credit card.
You press reserve and a little graphic comes up saying wait a second while we connect with your bank, then it says sorry we couldn’t connect and just ends.
Never had an issue with paying for anything online with anything else ever.
We’ve sacked it off now anyway. I couldn’t really be bothered to go anyway tbh.

Are you running any kind of ad blocker? and did you both try on the same phone/computer/browser/whatever?
Might be trying to do some kind of verification like 3dsecure or similar and failing to complete the follow on request.

Yeah this is what’s happening I think. It can’t load the 3D secure thing. (No ad blocker)
I don’t even get a failed payment notification because it doesn’t get to that point. We both have the same model Samsung phone.
We can add our card to the account fine. It does that 1p charge thing then.
It’s when we try and book a trip it can’t do the payment.
If one of the worlds most popular apps can’t load payments on one of the worlds most popular phones then they have an issue.
I may try on a laptop but I’ll probably just go somewhere and drive home. It’s a lot cheaper.
