Daughter blew out the bearings in one of her heelys. Went to SOS to buy new set. Was suspicious the original bearings were slightly smaller than skate ones. Got home and confirm they are.
Thankfully only bought a set of entry level modus bearing not powell swiss!

If they are not much smaller and they fit in the axl, could try wrapping the bearing in electrical tape and send they insert and hold?
Slam were distro for ninja bearings I think it was, years back. They used a much smaller size and you got a big aluminium spacer to put around each bearing. They were pretty good, tiny little things, super light.
Element did some too. With special wheels to suit
Acme did some ‘single bearing’ wheels in the tiny wheel era. They were obviously as shit as they sound.
