Just wanna say thanks to those who suggested Gildan Hammers the other day, ordered a 1 of each (L and XL) then ordered a bunch of the ones that fitted swnd from a store suitably named ‘buyshirtsonline’ and they came the next day. Boomshanka.
Ordered 1 of each - Large seems more like what a large should be, hopefully no shrinkage occurs (not really had any problems with some of Gildan Super stuff in the past, so fingers crossed this lot are the same as those).
The XL made me feel like I was straight out of Canada circa 2005.

Driving an American non-skater who has never been to the UK around in a week or two. Going to Hull/York/Scarborough/Aberdeen. What touristy things should I hit up, food, sights etc.
Will be busy in the evenings but reasonably free in the day.
Any northerners have any good recommendations?

Scarborough - north bay is nice, south bay is a bit classic Brit seaside chav
York - the Minster, walk around the city walls, see The Shambles, have tea and cake at Bettys

@BDF any reason why you’re going to Hull and Aberdeen? As opposed to maybe Edinburgh for example? Is Hull famous in the States?!

I thought that lol. I’m assuming there’s a reason, it’s like flying across the Atlantic to visit Flint Michigan and Gary Indiana.
When you get back down south you can take him to Slough, or there’s a wonderful Nando’s in Croydon

Its a BJJ guy who was coming over and asked for gyms to teach at. Those were the places that responded. His mate was meant to drive him but had to cancel so I said Id step in and drive him (he cant/hasnt driven over here)
Absolutely agree they arent the tourist hotspots an american might gravitate to but figure there must be something. He’s over with his mrs and we have seminars in the gyms in the evening so daytrips would be good

Bettys was already on the list and maybe minster. Think fish and chips in scarborough is a shout, Ill aim for north
I’m not from Hull but down by the redeveloped docks is ok for a stroll and The Deep aquarium is near there if that’s your bag

Its really good. It also has the best fish & chip shop ive ever been to. You could go to the Cairngorms just outside Aberdeen too.

Sorry. I wasn’t try to shame the guy. I was just upset to hear he was struggling.
It just made me wonder how many other talented skaters went barcelona and ended up getting sucked into a downward spiral because of their ego or lack of support/guidance.
Edit: I say barca but you could replace it by any major city with a strong skate scene.
