Maybe you could argue that she’s a grown woman and made her choice. Yes, you’ll help with the meds but the prison she’ll have to just ride it out. I remember bits of the story and obviously know less than you Mush, don’t want to trivialise or simplify things, must be so gnarly to have to deal with
That is a perfectly normal way to feel, she fucked up and didn’t care about the consequences or her family when she was getting into all this but now shit has hit the fan, she is there expecting you all to pick up the pieces. I personally think she has a cheek putting all this on your family now but if you are going to go all in and help her you need to get over those feelings and never bring it up in a fight or let it start to cause resentment in your family unit.
When I was a yoof I was always the fimer so seemed to be the only person to bring a backpack out to the session, so everyone would keep their stuff in my bag, just keys, fags, wallets etc…
I went on a snowboard trip to france and when I got home I emptied out my bag and found a block of hash wrapped in tin foil that someone had left in a pocket in my bag, which I had unwittingly both taken out to France, and flew back home with…
I didn’t even smoke but can only imagine how “It’s not mine! I don’t even smoke!” would have gone down, so anything to do with being caught makes me shudder.
Maybe with some more details about how she was coerced in to doing it, rather than smuggling for her benefit, then people would be more likely to support? I appreciate its probably not something she’ll want to share however.

I ended up having a rule of nobody putting shit in my camera bag. Combination of people being so obvious putting phones and wallets in and leaving parts open. The end came when we had to make a swift runner from the Spanish police and as soon as I grabbed the bag, EVERYTHING went flying out and I ended up getting busted

Someone took wax out of my camera bag in Malmo, didn’t zip it back up. Picked it up, VX went flying first day of the trip. Thank fuck for gaffa tape.
Heavy shit Mush, not fair for you to be lumped with the burden. If I was in the situ I’d want to help obviously but financially it’s not viable and unfair.
I wouldn’t do a gofundme either, you’d get way too much negativity from it as it’s not exactly a positive situation. I feel that you can help but others need to help too and if they don’t want to then she maybe just has to stick it out. You can only do what you can.

i started that and i really enjoyed it, then it started to really grate after a bit and just felt like bullying.
That’s a nightmare…
I was on a trip in London and I lost my rag as my mate didn’t bring his own bag out to put his chillers and other crap with him, so he put them all in my camera bag. It had pressed up against the mic on my old VX21 so much, it ended up needing to be glued and tied up.
Someone moved my stuff once, as it was in the way or something like that, but they didn’t realize I had it open to setup my camera and everything went all over the floor. Luckily I had the cover on my MK1. Phew.
I’m only two eps in, bomb dog story had me in tears.
