Quick Release Skateboard Wheels

Oh yeah, that. What is it really? Shields on or off? If off, why?

Off, because they sound better.

There is zero practical benefit as shields are there in order to protect your bearings from dirt and moisture.

I skate areas prone to having sand blowing around and yet I’ll always pop the shields off my Swiss. I like the noise they make and, most importantly, riding shieldless bearings makes people think you’re cool.

You’re solving a problem that doesn’t exist.

If you do this you’ll work out that you do not need pointless gimmicks

What a blast from the past this is - this was for a school project back in the day. Im now at University studying product design and i might just revisit this idea now :grinning:

Yeah i know its not a prevalent problem was just for a design technology i was doing couple years back.
