GBH British Bake Off
2nd gen punk / metal band GBH bake stuff while being attacked by rats, or something
Actually thats a band not a singer, and rubbish
Switzerland, its great quality of life, its pure air, its tasty food, its low crime rate, its watches, its diversity and culture, its renowned education system, its square flag, its knives, its astounding scenery, its skateparks.
Last but not least, my local:
Some of those are glorious
The background to nearly every picture is incredible rolling hills and mountains
Switzerland is very green which I appreciate more and more as I get older. It’s great to be able to skate a park then relax on grass and hear cows nearby… I just wish the parks were half decent, haha.
We do have good ones, just not that many.
What a shit show. Banked corner thing could be ok but the tranny looks a bit shite at the bottom
It all evens out when you take into account the variety of Milka bars you get which others don’t, though.
I don’t know why but the stick on the ledge had me laughing. Reminds me how there’s always random shit on the ledges at my local wonderful pre-fab.
Funnily enough I never eat any of the Milka stuff.
Can you get Ragusa in British shops? I can’t remember seeing it… It’s pretty good.

We don’t get that. We don’t get Cailler here either except for cooking chocolate. I remember those brands from when I worked in Geneva.
You hardly ever see Côte d’Or Belgian chocolate here either which is massive in Holland and Belgium and I used to eat a lot when I worked there. That was the first chocolate i had with salty and sweet together before it became a big trend.
We get Milka which is too sweet and tastes powdery and we get Lindt which is pretty good.
Post brexit era now so I’m not expecting to see a broader range of euro chocs on the shelf any time soon
Theres a shop about 50m from my place which usually has a bit of Côte d’Or - but what they always have is about 15 different Milka styles…and they are all a quid for a massive bar.
Which is why I weigh more these days.
Yeah Milka has gone budget - I’m sure it was quality once but now it’s always cheap. I don’t think it tastes good.
I like the Côte d’Or with salted almonds but I don’t think I’ve seen it here.
Not a chocolate snob btw…I’ll eat dairy milk all day just not keen on milka…or galaxy.
Had an m&s toblerone replica today and it was better than the real thing.

Yeah, okay mate. Sure.
ha ha.

Prices are adapted to purchasing power and this is why chocolate like Milka and loads of drugs that are made here cost more here than when they’re exported, even if you add P&P and local taxes… Sometimes I’ll see the price of some Swiss stuff I really like (Milka, Toblerone and other shit) in Europe and I feel soooo robbed.
Some drugs (common stuff like fucking painkillers) can be 5 to 8 times more expensive here than in France or the UK.
