Reynolds off emerica

First of many new recruits?

Nice. He’s a good fit for Emerica. Should have been on a long time ago!

Since Fat Mike Sinclair isn’t doing anything at all to hook those lads up with shoes.

Yeah I wonder if there is any tension there, all the Tum Yeto guys see him off travelling the world with the Nike SB circus whilst they sit at home scraping by with no shoe deals

You’d almost think that kind of bullshit would lead to their biggest name leaving…

Ah I meant more like those older ones that were around loads years back, can’t find them in the UK

I wish I’d got some of the AR Classic’s that people are posting fairly frequently on insta now:

They’re awful looking. Unless you’re going to the Teddy Bear’s Picnic, then you’re fine.

I think the koston leaving es comparison is pretty apt. The brand just died without the person who was had such a strong association with it, and he was only there for half the time.

I wonder if there’s someone with enough potential start power to carry the brand now. Can’t think of anyone really

I’m not sure it’s quite at that point just yet, personally I think it could be a good chance to reinvigorate the brand and add some new riders. If they can’t manage it then it’s been a great run littered with great vids and some classic shoes. Plenty of good shoes being made elsewhere at the mo and vids for that matter.

Can’t remember who remained on es when Koston left. Didn’t pay much attention to skate biz during that period.
Had others already moved on too?
Ladd, Saari, McCrank, Penny (already on Supra?), P-Rod?

Did P-Rod go before koston?

Yes.

They had a decent little run with Danny Garcia as the main man. I think Rattray got a pro shoe during that time as well.

Emerica will be fine. Obviously they’re gonna have a bit of a wobble period but if they get a few more dudes like Dakota, who’s a great fit, they’ll be sorted in the long run.

The only thing they’re missing is an A list pro. Romero is a great skateboarder and a seasoned pro, but what they now don’t have is a Reynolds/Kirchart/Templeton

Not dissing Reynolds but he’s in his twilight years so it’s not comparable with Koston as he was still up there when he moved to Lakai.
We’ll see some banging stuff from Reynolds and we’ll all be really stoked about it but I’d be surprised if we see him at peak. He’s a workhorse so we might see another angle similar to what Rowley has done.
Regardless, it will be rad.

Bobby Worrest had a pro shoe reasonably late on. Looked a good one too. Rodrigo Teixeira was on until right at the end as well, and Manderson. All workhorses, but as has been said, no real A-lister to lead the line and drive sales.

Reynolds has been dishing out the content since he left!
