Why didn’t they do the Koston 2? Surely that is more legendary than the 3?
So weird that one, in that he seemed to film a limited amount of tricks in them and never wore them again, everyone I know who owned a pair absolutely loved them!
What is it with skate shoe companies and discontinuing classics?!

Koston had way more footage with 3’s than 2’s. I’d say that the 3 IS the iconic koston shoe.
Of course the first one was the best but the 3’s are visually more iconic, especially with footage. Lines in Menikmati for instance.

I guess they’re a bit stuck with the Koston models but there’s no excuse for at least a limited Creager release, DC seem to be doing this whole thing right lately:

Yeah but DC are in a bettter place financially I think whereas es is kind of Kelly harts little project under Don’s supervision. I’m sure I have seen a creager re run sample. But yeah, that shoe was amazing, I learned nosebluntslides in them so I have fond memories in them.
Maybe Creager does not want them out there? i’m sure they flow him shoes but maybe he’s being way too modest to let them do it.

ah yeah, I remember that now, he has a team shoe colourway. I bet those older creagers are not as good as we remember though, bet they feel well stiff at first. I know they were dead flexy after a while though.
I have some kelly contracts though and they are really stiff and don’t look like they should be.
I’m wearing the slb 3’s at the mo and don’t really like them, they were unskateable so are just my work shoes now.
I really wonder as that was such a widely adopted model, pretty sure McCrank filmed most of his Menikmati part in them, could’ve been just a fluke among a number of chunky boats of shoes but like the Koston 2 I always heard good things. The K3 was very comfortable but pretty sure they’d be awkward to skate now.

oh yeah
I just think the Koston2 looked so different to everything else out there. The K3 looked like a lot of DC models at the time, to me. Just a solid-sided all of a shoe. And the K2 had so many good colourways. I skated one pair and the heel was too high for me, but I bought multiple pairs to chill in.
