I had some axion ‘forest’ I think. Dark green with orange details. So uncomfortable. The insoles had little ridges on under your toes and the arch of the foot. So many blisters trying to skate those hogs.
Yeah I’d get some more.
Had the Mariano and they weren’t very comfy but they looked so dope.
Got the Manny Santiago ones when they came back and they weren’t even good slippers.
This’ll be TK Maxxion all over again.

We had these in the old skate shop back in the day along with some others , never sold well and had pairs knocking around in the stock room for ages even on sale. We had loads sent back too for falling apart.
I wanted a pair of these till I tried them on and realised why they never sold .
Never liked any of those Axions if i’m honest, never tried any. But I was pretty much on the Accel thing already by then.
Axion were already way past their heyday when I started skating in 2001 - their Transworld ads were always in the back with the weird shoe brands.
So they’re pretty much reentering the market as a new shoe brand because there’s been 2, if not 3, skate generations since they were legit. So anyone under 25 won’t know who they are, anyone under 35 won’t care and anyone over 35 will think the reissues just aren’t as good as they were originally.

What happened with the Circa incarnation of Axion 10 years back? Something about Kareem Campbell not being involved from the start and then??
This shoe, just looks like a generic early 00s cheap shoe. Could easily have a Reef/Power/Epik logo on it (July 02)

I remember seeing the cool looking models heavily discounted in places like HSC when I first started, after that the brand just seemed to go downhill. I’d say that the standout feature was just the designs and I remember seeing old photos of Kareem and thinking if they’d make some more shoes like he wore then I might actually try a pair.
