I saw the cupsole version in the flesh a while ago. Was bigger than I remember.
I think it got brought back a couple of years ago, right? Just for a season or something…
It’s a completely different sole and the tongue looks bigger than the OG as well, which is an interesting move from them. I will try the Swift at some point as I’ve heard good things about those.
I skated the Swift about a year ago.
I like the shoe, but that was me trying cupsoles and whilst it wasn’t as tough as I expected to switch, it just wasn’t for me.
So the Vans ‘Pro’ line is being renamed the ‘Skate’ line and apparently they’ve tweaked the rubber compound on the soles a little (amongst other small changes).
Wondering if these are the new versions of carryover colourways or it’s just an introductory run under the ‘Skate’ moniker rather than ‘Pro’.
Either way, the other night I had a legit nightmare that Vans had stopped making all black suede Slip On Pros so seeing this has put me on edge (even though I’m into all of them).

Could be worse…You could have had a nightmare that the late 90’s Vans shoe lines were being fully reproduced and nothing else.
