These are very nice (in fact, probably ticking all my skate shoe boxes) and even though I’m not skating, or going anywhere or seeing anyone, I might treat myself to a pair of these in payday.

Yeah, leaving that foam exposed just seems odd and almost unfinished.
It’s an old nike/blazer thing, there’s a reason for it but fucked if i know what it is.

I think everything after the first few years is horrible. They got chunkier and ‘dumber’. They came out swinging but the follow-ups were without fail shit. Design-wise and construction-wise.
Axion kind of follows Kareem’s trajectory, starting off dope and just getting less interesting and more confusing over the years, and by 2000 they were definitely wack.

I was living in that london when they first came out, never see anyone wearing them or mentioning them or nothing. Just another cheap shoe brand along the lines of kastel albeit with a rad team that you’d see in the mags. Moved back home and everyone was wearing them, every single person, it was weird. Def felt like I missed the memo.

I seem to remember you could buy one get one free from HSC towards the end. Or perhaps just after the end of axion.
There always seemed to be a new shoe company every few months or so.
Usually always stinking, usually always with pat duffy on the team.
