These are so dope
You can tell exactly when the handle got taken over as well.
Had 2 pairs of supras back in mid 2000’s (no not the sky tops) one skated great and wasn’t bad at all the other was kinda odd and didn’t skate great, odd there trying to bring this brand back didn’t see much success back then I can’t imagine they’ll have much now
Its just a Chinese factory making shoes.
Seems like that’s the new thing with old brands
I had some supras about 4 years ago, I called them my mid life crisis shoes
Soaps are back
Really though why?
That Air Dolphin guy has made them cool again.
Ha! I remember being amused / confused in equal measures with these things.
Don’t tell anyone, but I think a part of me would like to try some Heely’s.
To wear supra is to be supra.
So profound.
I had some shit Supra Authentic/Era knockoffs as summer chillers. They felt way cheaper than the massive bargain price I bought them for, and you could see the glue for the sole staining the canvas.
I thought Supra was the absolute dog’s danglies when I was 15/16. Horsey’s part in Better Than Life, with him bezzing about doing one-foot blunt fakies in white jeans, tie die shirts and Vaiders was exactly what I wanted to be. It didn’t take long for me to grow out of it but I still love that section! Supra started going downhill when Terry Kennedy’s pro shoe with the straps came out and just kept smashing through its own floor.
I had a couple of pairs of Terry Kennedy shoes, as they were like the accel slim of the time. Definitely didn’t buy them for the company, or the skater.
I know you’re not serious but I can only assume he meant the “Stacks”
I tried some on in Schuh or TK Maxx or something when I was at Uni and the felt like they’d experience the heat death of the universe before there was any flexibility in the toe box so I fucked them off.
There was a second version and I have no idea how they managed to pass these off as a v2.
Skated a few pairs of Supras, think the model was called ‘The Pistol’
Very normal looking shoe and very decent to skate to be fair
I remember being up for trying these at the time:
…but they never looked as good as his first Emerica model.
I think they made a lot of them in plenty of different materials. Think I got relatively early ones, as the suede felt good and skated well. Shame my cat pissed on them, but then I pissed on him enough times.
From memory, it was one of those “this shoe is so popular, let’s stop paying the pro by rebranding them.” situations.
A load of Supra’s ended up in the ‘Just A Fiver’ shop here, as well as ‘normal’ ones, there were a few never released Muska Skytop’s samples too.
