Shoes

Oh yeah I loved Sole Tech shoes and pretty much only skated that for 20 years but their distro is dog shit here now. Pretty weird considering their Euro HQs are (or were) based in Basel!

Maybe it’s just me but I’m slightly disappointed with the Crockett 2’s - initially they fit great and haven’t bagged out or anything, but if I start really going for a trick/skating fairly heavy they just start hurting my feet around the ball of the foot. Initially I thought it may be an insole issue but I swapped them out and the issue persisted - one of the seams blew out super quickly too. Got some Cons KA3’s coming so we’ll see what those are like.

Weird, I never had a problem with mine. We all have different feet, skate differently and therefore have different needs though.

HAHAHAHAHAHA, yes!

@Mush @Mark
I wore these to work today, a few years back Clarks did a leather wallabee with a proper chunky sole suitable for wet UK weather. They only seemed to do them for 1 or 2 seasons though as I wanted to get a new pair and they don’t appear to make them anymore

I had some old Silas shoes that were similar to that, you had to completely make them yourself, they came in a DIY kit, really sick

What? That’s quite a concept.
Airfix shoes.
I’ve got 2 pairs of Clarks.
One is a standard smart shoe but incredibly comfy.
The other is more casual, blue and again very comfy.
Their sizes are all I could wear at school because they had wide fittings that suited my flippers.
Same story to this day with smart shoes.

I can’t remember the brand but they were some northern outfit. If I see the name I’ll remember. Will see if I can dig up a pic

Splattered with what is close to the H-Street logo without reference to them at all.

Another collab I give zero fucks about

I wish collabs and licensing would fuck off for good

The post I deleted was for a Lakai & EPMD shoe that looks rally nice.
I only deleted the post because it ended up creating a link to a beanie hat for some unknown reason.
Hopefully this link works.

I just want them for chilling but it is an added bonus that they reference EPMD.
Nice legit collab from my point of view.

How is it legit? In what sense? Did EPMD ever wear Lakai? Don’t get it.

Don’t get the Reebok/Bronze collab.

Don’t get most collabs tbh they just seem so lame. It just shows how short of original ideas the world is. Collabs and logo rips and other uninspiring blandness is what passes for design.

I’ll buy the Bieber Accel tho.

I did say from my point of view.
I could well imagine some of the older Lakai heads listening to and maybe skating to EPMD, I have.
It’s a link that possibly has more relevance than most others above.
The shoe is fairly similar looking to a Tim that EPMD might have rocked then too.

Ok you’re entitled to your opinion of course but I would see a legit collab as one where both sides contribute something and make a greater than the sum of its parts product.

The first Supreme/North Face was a good collab because it produced something original. That Nike Wotherspoon was a good collab too. I’m not gonna buy either but at least I can see the point.

Don’t see the point of collabs where neither side really adds anything new.

Supreme, North Face, Nike and Wotherspoon(?).

Pretty much lost on me.
It is a matter of taste then really and largely what you identify with.
I would hazard a guess that you are younger than I.
