Anyone bought the NB# 480s? I’d like to but I’m nervous about the sizing because they’re fucking expensive even with the sale offers I’ve found (Flatspot for anyone wondering - £67)
I’ve got two other pairs of NB#s and they’re cock on true to size.
I’ve only been wearing that shoe to skate in since they came out. They fit tts for me. I’m a UK 9 and they’ve been fine.

how’s the sole on them? Other NBs I’ve had were the Westgate 2 (very slim cupsole) and the 420s (very stiff)
Best thing I can say is I’ve had absolutely no issues with the sole at all. Skated each pair straight out of the box and had no problem breaking them in.

I saw a man struggling to skate in a pair of Air Force 1s at the park the other day, how someone skates a shoe with that thick of a sole is beyond me
I’m pretty sure Stevie Williams had a photo or two in AF 1s. Bobby Puleo skated them quite a bit but he was cutting the swooshes off for some reason. I’m sure they’re great if you don’t like board feel and have a soft spot for rolled ankles.

An ankle twist wearing AF1s in around 2002 is what finished me off. It was so painful i couldn’t let my foot touch the floor without my eyes watering, most of my foot went purple. It’s what I eventually had ankle reconstruction surgery for about 6 years ago.
So yeah, a definite ‘no’ from me

I had a mid top pair of Af1s I picked up from TK maxx when I was about 14. Absolutely loved them, loose straps and all. Apart from the tropical colourway.
Same deal for me but with shell toes. Proper ankle busters those.

AF1 is the ugliest shoe to me, something really off with them, probably the thick sole.
