Shoes

I scooped a pair from the outlets for like $40 and it’s the best $40 shoes I’ve got in awhile they feel great imo almost like an older skate shoe but with some newer feeling features there great

Walked all over Daytona in my pair last week and didn’t have a single complaint hell I wanted to keep them on the whole trip but you know the beach and sand and what not

Nice. These were £50 from Note. Just hope the 8 isn’t too big :+1:

Picked up some Last Resort shoes for work.

It’s 11:30 and my toes are in agony and I have skinny feet.

My thoughts are with anyone who has tried to skate in them.

Really? I have wide feet and a fused big toe and LR are some of the only shoes that I can skate in comfortably

Just goes to show how much you need to try them on. I cannot wear Tiagos, Dunks, 480s or loads of other shoes that people swear are super comfortable.

Ironically my skate shoes are a rotation of Tiago’s but I think I have just hit the return point of missing some boardfeel.

I’ve skated exclusively in Last Resorts for the last couple years, I used to swap out the insoles when they went shit after a few skates but they’ve got better now. Currently wearing the wallabees, fave shoe.
Vans hurt my feet. I love Nike, especially Blazers, but they hurt my feet too. And I have hookups for cheap/free NBs (cmoac) but they just don’t fit me right.
Last Resort 4 lyf (or until they go shite)

Tiagos don’t work for me, 1010’s killed my feet (and my wife’s feet) after a few hours and the 808’s are so tight they never broke in. 1010’s were a 7 so went 7.5 in 808’s - they fit but fuck me they’re tight.

The Ishods turned up this morning, so having to decide between them and the NB 508’s to skate in.

Sized up in the Ishods - they’re literally 4.5cm longer than my foot, but once they’re on they’re not too big due to how they fit. Could probably get away with a 7.5, but I suspect I’d find a 7.5 too tight :man_shrugging:

I have no idea what is wrong with my feet, they’ve definitely changed over the last 10 years though.

I’d probably save a fortune in bad buys by actually travelling to a shop and trying shoes on haha

Had the 508s for - I think - 3 years. Definitely 2 years!

508s are good to skate in, although the soles a bit on the thin side compared to most other cups.

NB 808s are crazy. Mine fit, but even after months of walking around they don’t feel broken in at all.

I’ve just begrudgingly binned my 508s in that colourway - they’d long stopped being skateable but they look so nice I’d kept wearing them until my foot broke through the heal.

NB feel annoyingly inconsistent in their sizings - the 508 felt a half size too big, 306 I had to size up a half, but the 288s fit perfectly.

Can still get them in this colourway on NB’s website. They’re too nice to skate, which is why I’ve had them so long haha

Inconsistent - ain’t that the truth. I had two pairs of 440, same size but the Tom Knox colourway ones were half a size bigger, maybe because they were leather, I don’t know :man_shrugging:

The longest-lived skate shoes I’ve ever owned in decades skating. Nike SB Bruin React. I’ve skated in them at least twice a week for 3 1/2 years. Over the same time I’ve been through 3 pairs of Vans AVE Pro.
Mainly used these for ramp and bowl skating so no Ollie patch wear but worn on the toecap from knee slides. But still.

Yep, still skating a pair that’s over a year old. Best shoe. So gutted they discontinued them.

That was pretty amusing, I’d prefer the first ones myself but a lot of people liked that model at the time so it makes sense.

Looks like videos been taken down. What was it - Templeton shoe reissue?

I think it is a video which sales crew are using whilst selling the Templeton 2 into stores.

It’s Ed talking about the shoe being reissued as a quick strike for late '24.

Where did you get them from?
