Maybe if I get really quite bored I’ll read it but I don’t see a path to redemption for him over all that, unless Carroll lied about some pretty key stuff.
It’s a shame he doesn’t really skate now and his adidas shoes were pretty dull. I’d have been up for seeing a full on MJ pro shoe.

I might be biased as MJ is my all time favourite, but it does feel unfair in hindsight that we only ever got Carrol’s viewpoint on how things went down. And tbh given how they drove Lakai into the ground in the preceding 10 years, I feel Carrol probably wasn’t all that great at running a company anyway. Though MJ actually talks more about leaving Emerica in this.

I think MJ went pretty deep into the whole thing on his Nine Club interview. Taking both Carroll’s version and MJ’s version of the story into account, I definitely came out thinking that it seemed like it was Carroll that handled the situation like a dick.
Everyone on the team seems to look infinitely better in any shoes other than Lakai now which I think pretty much says it all.
