Shoes

Oh, and Tony Hawk signed my copy after I was done filming him at Nass. He had a stinking cold but he still took the time to chat about the video.
Big Narstie, Stacey Solomon, her kids, and my wife were in the room with us. Bizarre!

Soon after I blagged a VHS dub of this, I was mucking about in Photoshop with a video still of a friend skating. I’d cut him out, along with a few foreground & background elements and then randomly started turning their opacity on and off and realised that i’d just somehow accidentally copied part of the intro and assorted title sequences.

All the motion graphics were done by a company called Shilo, which was run by a dude called Andre Stringer, who’s biz partner Jose Gomez was involved in setting up Adio. He had worked on the Rhythm video Genesis with Ty Evans back in 97 or so, doing some pretty groundbreaking graphic animations for the time and went on to have a successful career.

Interface from 1997 is seriously ahead of the game on a technical level. I was just finishing up in uni when it came out and we were introduced to editing on computer, using Media 100, a hardware/software combo which was the main tool at the time and I was soooo excited to see screenshots and footage of the editing process using Media 100 pop up in the video.

BTW, Josh Stewart was the guy who did the Adio video.

Confused by this at first but then realised that the link was to Montoyas Adio part not Reason part so my Transworld comment was kinda weird. Sorry.
Yeah, One step beyond was Josh, very tech too and used Tewe on the intro, I was taken aback by that.

As in who used to ride for New Deal?

Maybe. Couldn’t say for sure.

Inspired by skateboarding, sprinkle a bit of Heritic, some random Osiris and Adios, have a rummage in the old Circa bargain bin for further inspo, then pre-banana and Rambo the shit out of them - all for a reasonable £675.

Blimey. Look like my dad’s lawn mowing shoes

hideous of course, but at least you know the materials and the manufacture is going to be high end. INCORRECT.
rose anvil cut some Balenciagas in half and it was basically the equivalent of the shoes you’d get in woolies (rip) back in the day.

That brand is the biggest “I am a twat” signal I’ve ever seen.

Saw some ipath 2.0s in the flesh yesterday, they looked good.

I pulled the trigger on a pair of Cats. Will report back when they arrive.

Ace, missed out on some half price Clark Torhills for work, torn between those, cats and the last resort equivalents, although the last LRs I had disintegrated after a month of walking.

Fancy the black/white grasshoppers for skating.

Need to remember I can’t wear battered skate shoes around as normal shoes even if they are comfortable

3 pairs of Cats, really like them, however they need baggier trousers to look good as they are chunky at the back end and look odd with slimmer trousers.

Currently trying to tarck down a pair of reynolds NBs, fail that more Tiagos…
But thinking that I might need work shoes, perhaps Cats are an option? Never owned a pair of a Ipath and nowhere in Brussels/Lyon sems to stock them form what I can see. Lyon’s Wall street sells OG Wallabee Clarks but at 170eur a pair. Fuck that.

Is there a low version of the Ipath Cat? I know
Last Resort do one but nostalgia and wanting them to stick around is drawing me to the Ipaths but my trouser choices would be better suited to a cut down version.

AKA Palessi Footwear

Yeah, Rollersnakes have them
