Spot spotting

Skated this a long, long time ago when it wasn’t as rough, still super hard to skate. Tried to convince myself I could be like Cardiel at that spot in Australia, I couldn’t.

This road is one of my grail spots to visit and fail to skate. Did you see all the other stuff going up and down the road?

Question: Which spots shocked you when you saw them in real life?

I remember the steep bank at cantalowes being way steeper than I thought.

Love Park ledges were higher.

Wallenberg was looooong.

Broadmarsh humps/banks they looked so fun in videos and magazines. So, so hard to do anything on them.

Anyone remember the white wall in London? I was certain I could ride over/down the stairs based on pics in the mag, but that thing was huge in real life.

Sants roof being cheesegrater. Only time I went was on a rainy day.

Lloyds ledges not being ledges.

What video had the really bad slam on that?

Edit: Biffa in an Andy Evan’s video? Chillin’?

China Banks and basically any famous spot in SF and Philly.

Ponds forge big rail into bank. I had seen it before of course but after Grove did it and then you stand at the top imagining how… Whaaaaat?

Cairo foster Barca cathedral triple set.

Chima Sydney double set and i’m sure I found a ridiculous gap that maybe someone like Jack O grady did.

Very random: The Gonz 50-50ed a flatbar in Lyon to wallie up and nosegrind fifty the topbar. The spot was on my way to school. Everyone saw the flatbar but no-one thought of getting up top. It took a unique skater at a unique spot to unlock something that was never paralleled - even by today’s standards.

The handrail at the Brooklyn Banks - not the main one, the one in the park round the back. It’s huge, chest high and steep, with a downhill run up and on brick.

No idea how people back noseblunt on it. Wild

SF bay blocks are so big. Also China banks as franc said, step as fuck. No idea how people get up onto the top block
