Biddick was in Washington, it’s still there but the banks and rails are gone.
Really? I always thought Hartlepool? I’m sure there is even a reference to it being Horsely country in Sidewalk… ie Hartlepool. I’d usually be a passenger in Kev D’s car so never took much notice, as we’d be hitting up three or four spots some days back then, and only went when Bod wanted another spot for his videos and that one usually when Olly Todd was in town, haha.
Edit: it’s been rad to see footage of Washington’s Oval emerge on Insta (The skate park Rocker skates at the end of 720).
Aye it’s near to the Galleries shopping centre!
I did an all-nighter at the Oval once, lost most of my money in a taxi (baggy jeans pockets) and had to live on 10p Ice Pop’s for the night.
From my experience the bust element of skating school rails and features is a ball ache . My old schools flat banks on the tennis courts were like south banks, but you got chased off quick sharp. The boys secondary school built a Bristol Lloyds set of ledges but they were protected like fort knoxs. All private grounds and instant rozzer call out . Amazing how in America you could rock up and just skate .
It always looks like American cops are hassling skaters at schools (any spot). Tickets, taking boards or even arresting skaters. I wonder if it is even harder now to skate them with all the mass school shootings?
Wow especially stoked on this one, never seen anything like that in the UK
I don’t have any moral objection about skating schools, I just can’t be arsed to climb fences anymore!
Not skated a school for about 20 years. The fences are fucking massive these days but back in the day they were probably about 5ft max so easily hoppable.
There is a bowl right in the centre of that place
longboard lol
Coming out of the hospital just now after a weekly check up…
We skated that once or twice, but felt bad as it’s the hospital, however we realised it’s an outpatients part so the times we did come was after that part was closed. It is still part of the hospital so it felt a bit off.
No real transition on it as well which makes it solid to skate!
where’s that? in a school?
well that took 30 seconds. King Edwards Aston.
I imagine it’s a pretty quick bust?
