Have you got one of those diesel heaters in the van?
Yeah, but there we had a hook up anyway so I should have just taken an electric heater and saved the diesel, although it doesnāt seem to use a lot.

With the heater on? Itās absolutely boiling unless you turn it right down. Without it a van isnāt a lot better than a tent really, i.e. freezing unless youāre in a sleeping bag.

Mrs and littlun are out, so just sat and listened to the whole of Mezzanine while the cat glared at me. Much needed reside from toddler insanity.

Took the girl and her Christmas complete to the local indoor this morning. She had a load of fun and wanted to go again, she still doesnāt know what stance she is or whether sheās Mongo or not and got a bit het up about everyone being better that her but it was a success, she even did her first sticker job. Iāve been talked into taking her again tomorrow for the mini rippers session. (Free toast and juice mid sesh). Hoping for more dry spells now.

Brilliant! I had a similar experience today. Went to The House with my 7 year old daughter, including her new board and sticker set lol. I havenāt skated for about 6 months but got a couple of runs in for myself too 
She was a bit more nervous than usual as it was pretty busy but sheās already talking about going again.

Took her indoors to the Womenās night at The Works (LS10 whatevs) the other night. Still not able to skate myself as my backās fucked so I was on dad duty. Weād been clearing the cellar out and had found a stash of random new boards so took them with us to leave/distribute etc.
One young girl (maybe 10) was learning how to drop in on a Xmas complete whilst my daughter and I were running around the park.
This girl had laser focus and managed to drop in a few times.
Then she slammed like a bag of shit onto her face - my Mrs ran over to see if she was ok, she wasnāt but tried to walk it off in tears.
Her dad came over and myself and daughter disappeared to car.
Came back with a brand new Element board in kidās size which my daughter gave her for ābeing braveā.
Proper tear jerker all round.

Just poured myself an orange juice and thought iād try some cherry brandy in it but without looking I picked up the tia maria and poured a massive glug in, it went a weird brown then I realised. I hate coffee and the thought of that in orange juice made me gag a little but then I thought fuck it, try it. My god itās one of the best things I have tasted. It must be a thing, will have to google in a minute.
