Well shit the bed.

After my work drama I’m fully in the splinter group in starting over fresh with a new company.

I’m on the same salary + commision + I get to work full time at home. Starting 1st of Feb.

I’ll just put my immense guilt about my friend not being able to come over to one side for tonight.

I’ve ummed and ahhed a couple of times today in the not-stoked thread and didn’t really know what to add to the other comments, but this is rad news.

Stoked Les!

Fantastic. Also if it bottoms out again let us know - as mentioned, there’s a few people on here in similar lines of work and there’s always an opportunity we can try and find somewhere from one of us.

Funny as I fully credit this forum (in whichever iteration) for actually getting me in my current career - I remember asking what the fuck I was supposed to say in an interview for something I knew nothing about and got so many good responses here that ultimately got me that first job. Then I’ve managed to get another forumer a job at my last company as well - which was rad.
Stoked on this little corner of the internet sometimes.

Cheers everyone.

I’m not getting all giddy and thinking I’m totally out of the shit just yet but it does seem like I’m in a much better position this morning over yesterday morning.

Probably wise.
I tend not to get too excited about something until it’s happening to avoid disappointment.
Good luck.

starting a splinter company sounds well gangster, although thats what we did with this forum no?
nice one les and good luck.

Congrats Les, stoked for you.

For this forum it was more like scraping together the dregs at the bottom of the barrel

Haha!

Potayto / Potahto?

Not anything crazy, but had a fun skate last night at the ā€œlocalā€ curb (it’s a 30 min drive from home). Met up with a friend, who’d made me a ledge block for xmas, and there was actually a bunch of other skaters there to session with. Also Homebase has a deal on folding LED lights, for Ā£15, which I’ve been looking a while for. Bought one, which is perfect, so I’m picking up another three. Can light up any spot for up to 4 hours with them. Game on!

This popped up on my news feed the other day.
Didn’t bother to mention it as the only interesting part from my point of view was AW.
It didn’t have much appeal other than that, and that didn’t move me much either.

I was around South and East London when dubstep grew up in the mid 2000s but when Burial dropped Untrue it was something else. Archangel on a good soundsystem is an indescribable experience

Yeah nothing quite like it really. I’d like that deck as a wall hanger and reminder of that time and place. Cannot believe how long ago that was hashtagsoold
