If Iâd seen this last night I could have punched Martin Lewis for you. He was drinking in our local in Chester.
Was in Native earlier picking up a board and talking to Jackie, Queens Bank came up in conversation (any NE heads will know, jimmy boyes riding off his land rover into it etc) and how someone should take the fence off and cement it. Passed by it and the fucking fence was gone, bumped into some bmx fella whoâd chopped it out a day prior, came to clean it out today then plans to cement it in the next few days. Such an odd coincidence but amazing to see an OG spot potentially making a comeback.

Theyâve actually reclaimed a load of skate stopped local spots but theyâre keeping them on the down low so that they donât get stopped again.
The last time they did Queenâs bank it was re-fenced in about a week!
I really donât understand why with this spot as when people stopped skating riding there it became a smackhead hangout which just makes the carpark more sketchy!

Found a new gym thatâs only 2.5 miles to get to. Shouldnât be a bother by bike (I donât have a car) and itâs a good option instead of the pub in the evenings. Itâs got a 25 metre pool.

Just finished striping down and cleaning up a battered set-up I bought off ebay for the trucks (blue Fury Super Sports - planning to re-create a friendâs classic 90âs set-up for his 40th). Discovered the deck it came with is a fairly obscure Vallely deck from 2003. Itâs goosed, but pretty sure Iâll get the money back on it!

My daughter managed a couple of sketchy drop ins on a small quarter last night. She was getting really stressed about it for some reason and slammed a couple of times. Not sure she is ready but top marks for effort and great to see her âI did it!â face haha

Have decided to pull the trigger on Monday and give notice at my job, it has been the plan for a while but Iâve been putting it off. Will still be working until the end of the school yea but itâs the first step in the next stage of life which will be really fun.
So many logistics to sort out but I think it will feel easier as we start chipping away at them.

I put it off for about five years due to the worry of not having a definite regular income but eventually pulled the trigger at 30 and the last few years have been completely worth it. My only regret was that I didnât do it sooner.
