Stoked!

Stoked that this kind of ‘mainstream’ perspective on skateboard culture exists in 2020.

Minus the incorrect trick nomenclature of Kirchart’s lipslide at El Toro obviously.

Here’s another Stoked contribution.
My daughter loves The Fall, she’s listened to various tracks since birth and laughs at MES’s singing style. Tonight she was in a foul mood (three-nager for those with kids) and demanded my attention. She requested ‘Mountain song’, one of her favourites.
We watched the video below together three times in a row. Then she fell into a deep contented sleep. Yes dad.

As an aside - Tidy Mike (OG Bristol filmer and owner of the brand Fore-Cast) makes Mountain Energy cord hats. I’ve got one.
Stoked.

An outdoor gig on a summers night would be so good right now.

Fore Cast?

Seriously though, is that still a thing.
Remember having a Fore Cast tee in early 2000’s and believed it was something put together by some Notts based guys.
It’s always possible that there was more than one Fore Cast.

I’m stoked to see this posted, mun.

Tidy.

I had one of those Notts based Fore Cast Tees. A big number 4 as the Notts forest logo. i was sold it after a few to many at the Blue Dog ramp.

I had a dream last night that someone from my primary school cornered me and started giving me shit whilst pointing a gun at my head.

I pleaded with them not to do anything stupid, but they turned and shot the person standing next to me.

The person next to me happened to be Andrew Reynolds. I’m so fucking glad that it was a dream. I was so upset.

I’m not even gonna try and get properly into this again so no need to reply but my point has been missed over and over. My beef is not with Revive existing. Like art, and especially music, quality is slipping, but sales legitimise this and less effort becomes the norm. My beef is with that whether Revive is the culprit or Girl. (Girl still has Crob on the books which might as well be Arron Kyro so not a great comparison, jk, Crob paid his dues at the time his level was deemed acceptable)

Start a ‘Skateboarding and the modern Industry’ thread, or some title like that.

Spent all day listening to Pavement and had a scotch egg for lunch.

Also got a new (to us) car which is ace, and got rid of the old one super easy. And made a stupid BMX clip because the footage was so dull (never ridden transition on a BMX before).

I had a dream I went on a date with Anne Hathaway the other night (it went great), I didn’t even realise she was in my psyche in anyway, shape or form!?

nah
Stoked on my little one running around with a robocop boot thing on. Changed his plaster for this and he’s well away.
Foot still looks bad, bruised everywhere but actually looks like one of those bad tweaks we have all had. Luckily just fractured toes, nothing broken in foot.

Glad the little guy is doing ok chief. Our 18 month old nearly knocked herself out the other day, ran full pelt into the stairs headfirst. She even took a run up!

Your point hasn’t been missed mate, it’s got through loud and clear.

But David Hockney can still have a career when he’s no Rembrandt and Noel Gallagher is hardly up there with Mozart; some people happen to like things that aren’t “the best.”

And that’s ok, for every Jackson Pollock there will still be a Reubens and for every Jason Park clip Kelvin Hoefler can knock summat out for you to enjoy in your elitist bubble

*Last post on the matter, promise not to sully the stoked thread again, hope I’ve finished it with a cheeky smile.

You see my point but you don’t understand it. Granted there is a matter of opinion in this, but still.

Pollock, Hockney etc not in question. Style and ground breakers.
It’s more like buying your Art teachers art who makes nice watercolours of Whitby for 5mill. There is no knocking her art but that art has a place.

Fuck, I replied! haha
