Haha knew someone would disagree. I mean he’s got arguably one of the most influential jobs in skateboarding and he’s very good at what he does and to me it came across that he’s conscious of his talent but grounded/ self aware at the same time. And he’s also a very good skater and the hosts were bigging him up/ encouraging that sort of talk rather than him banging on about how sick he is.
Also because of the reasons above and his finger in so many pies do you blame him for holding back a bit? I felt like the shit talking line was less about putting people on blast out of the blue for no real reason except personal preference, which is sorta what the rapid fire is, personal preferences rather than someone doing something obvious lame and being called out for it. Most people still in the industry have pretty soft tbh, they’re never usually any good.
I went in expecting him to be way more cocky/ cool guy so maybe I was pleasantly suprised
I can’t think of many occasions where people actually talk smack though despite the hosts gassing it up and doing the gunshot noises. It’s very safe shit talking for the most part
Seemed pretty down to earth to me. Checked out his art on Insta during the podcast and am a fan. He’s pretty lowkey but his stories of EMB back in the day and skating in the 90s are really interesting.

Yeah agree its been a huge let down, its a shame as I’m sure they’ve reached out to everyone you’d want to hear on there that hasn’t already been on. Maybe they’ve run their course…
Wait, what? I think the phrase you’re looking for is mixed bag! Or is this like football where you’re only as good as your last game?!
That said, it probably will run its course at some point. Even some of the most popular Podcasts ever have had some pretty poor patches or have just completely ceased, I’ve enjoyed the Adam Buxton podcast for example but that has had some really quite boring runs where I’ve unsubscribed but many people will still tune back in if they like the hosts and most people like these two from what I can tell.
