Live trace, 1 or 2 colour setting should work
Click expand
White arrow select the white it’s made
Menu- select-same fill/stroke
Delete all the white selected
Now you should be left with just black text
Save as . Eps or .ai and import to indesign
Copy and paste should work too
No need to worry about res
Will save a fuck ton of memory too

Max why don’t you just make your own handwriting into a font (you can do it all online) then just print the book in your font. Probably be way quicker.
Why don’t you dictate it into your phone, copy paste and go through and edit. That would surely take way less time than making scans readable. Or do you want it to look like your writing specifically?
I have not read much above so I might have missed the point.
Having bother with new macbook. Old one had loads of problems for ages, fucked battery, blown speaker, overheating etc etc so I decided to replace. New ones are awful and I needed a headphone/input/output etc so I got a second hand 2014 from a ebay reseller, one that actually repairs and resells and has all good FB, not one of these dodgy resellers that just pass on filthy old puters with no knowledge.
Anyway, the SSD HD is not giving Admin permissions, tried all sorts, won’t even let me erase and do a new OS install.
It’s really weird, Seems I can write to my admin user folders within the HD but not just inside the HD like I always have done. Is this a setting/fault/ or just a new normal thing for extra security on an APFS SSD HD?
I’m gonna try and install Logic in a bit when a new External DVD drive gets delivered and see if it will write to the applications folder.
Even though I’m not stupid I tend to ignore Peter stuff as much as possible as it bores and aggravates me (probably because I don’t bite the bullet and learn something until I need to fix it)

Tried all sorts, typing some codey shit in terminal too, ha.
Although these things I did, did let me have read write perms for all folders inside the HD, just not the HD outer shell, if you like. I may just have to bite the bullet and get used to going a couple of more folders in to access my stuff.
Also, the HD has 5 volumes I can’t see, I’m hoping that they are necessary. I’m not used to these new APFS formats.
Anybody here use Shopify or anything remotely similar for their online stores?
I’m in the process of setting up a site/shop to sell a bunch of prints I’ve done. No idea yet whether to do it via drop shipping where the printer sends out the final order, or to get them printed locally and send them personally.
Anybody else here do something like this recently?
