The Continually Updated Footage Thread

I wasn’t even skating at this point but I’m sure I remember seeing these ads:

Jorge Simoes’ footage in that Volcom vid was so good. The Warschauer Strasse lines, holy shit. The pop shove late 180 was incredible too.
I’d be really, really psyched if Real turned him and Lintell pro!

His mirrored big spin back tails in the same line was a jaw-dropper

watching this made me a bit sad cos it made me want to be kicking about berlin skateboarding and boozing a hell of a lot

might start cutting the n off new balance

He doesn’t ride for Real.
He doesn’t actually have a board sponsor. He quit Jart a couple of years ago…free agent.

ABD: Me in 1999.
They were some 977s though.
It just changed some decent shoes to some cheapo looking shits from the market.
And that was in fashion in 1997.

Just like sideshow bob

But they did, they made The One which was massively popular, then went on to sponse Tony Hawk and Jason Lee.

That took ages, to the point that Pumas etc were the hot ticket in 92/3 and it took another year for Airwalk Ones to come along. Massively popular alright, though I’d say mainly among non-skaters at that time.

I loved my Ones but definitely used them more for ‘dancing’ down the indie/pop disco than skating.
Almost bought a reissue pair recently, but resisted (several times… so far).

My first skate shoe. I bought them on the day of the Solar eclipse in 1999 on a holiday to Newquay with my dad.
