The Continually Updated Footage Thread

Funny. He’s one of my favourites to watch, but I can see how he’d be marmite.

He’s a seriously weird looking dude.

I like the skating just every trick shrug and a “meh” face. Wears thin pretty quickly.

Big fan of this guy, super smooth, looks easy

Yeah he looks like a teenager in a 90’s cartoon.

He’s what you’d get if you merged Penny, Shorty’s Steve Olson and Shaggy from Scooby Doo all in together.

Lol!
That whole part (despite having gold in it) was a bit of a clusterfuck, wasn’t it?
Touted as a ‘part’ by Thrasher then it starts and Chris Jones is doing a better thing than matey-boy 3 tricks in.
Editing didn’t really do him any favours either - that shrug thing he does is fine for insta clips and from the vibe you get he is genuinely a bit non-plussed re being ‘the guy’ but nobody needs to see the insta shrug that many times in a “part”. It makes him look arrogant which I very much doubt he is.

Also - why repeat the Bambi leg heel nosewheelie line twice? Made zero sense.

Isn’t his father a famous musician or artist or something? Sure I read that somewhere.

Apols for long post - making chilli.

yeah, I saw his name and was excited to see a “part” from someone I really enjoyed in Gustav’s sour edits. Really disappointed in the lack of footage and effort on the filmer/editor/person that decided there was enough to do a part in the first place.
I think it made him look a bit pretentious when I doubt he is, just seems someone wants to cash in on his oddness.

Bit of a shame really.
You mentioned previously the no naming so you can’t really tell who is doing what and when, especially considering the clip has his sole name in the title.
Bit of a shame really.

He’s probably not even aware of the shrug himself.
He seems genuinely mellow and floppy, possibly heavily baked?

Another common theme with his parts that I’m surprised nobody has mentioned is that he seems to be the guy with the highest number of failed after tricks left in his sections too.

Re what I said earlier about his father.

I think this dude is his dad: Jean-Louis Huhta - Wikipedia

Not that it matters but…

It is.
His dad skates too and did the soundtrack for that Cons Please Charge video.

Liked this but Ozzie dude is a bit full on. Not sure Sommer’s song was the wisest choice currently, given the number of n bombs in it.

Shocking how far Girl/Chocolate have fallen off in the last decade and a bit

How many Brophy tricks?

Fully agree. You’d think that there would be several people reviewing this and giving their feedback. A lot of things could be cut. Filming was all over the place, too.

Just chiming in to repeat some of what @anonymity said about how much of a clusterfuck the editing is for the Vincent Huhta section. I’m 1:30 in and I think there’s been two clips of him - the rest being Chris Jones and some other people. That just makes no fucking sense to title the clip as a section when he has the minority of footage. What kind of weird approach is it to have the very second clip of a guest!?

This is why I don’t watch skateboarding any more; the editing is almost always fucking garbage or nonsensical. Nobody seems to have a name. Everything is just one big montage. Loads of rubbish filler from instagram.

Ugh, sorry.

Just watched this, whilst the skating was good… It reminded me so much that the FUCKING STROBECK FILMING NEEDS TO FUCKING DIE!

How many times can you ruin a clip by doing that shit?! The answer is a lot.

wait so this is just a re-edit of Doll with nothing new?

Maybe they just went back and removed any trace of Biebel.

Edit: Was joking, but spoke to soon ha
I don’t have the attention span for 29 min videos anymore, especially if it is just re-edited footage.

I have gone on about that filming style for too long but I watched clip the other day and the filmer was doing the most overexaggerated face to feet to face they were missing so much of the trick it made the skating pointless. The skater might as well forget putting themselves at risk and just posing leaning on the spot, at least you might get an idea of how gnarly the spot could be.
