The Continually Updated Footage Thread

Cheap as chips to get to CPH (I’ve flown a few times for under £100) and Malmo, but expensive once there.
CPH is slightly cheaper and only using supermarkets makes it more affordable…and if you don’t rent a bike in the city, you can get one a bit further out for 5 Euros a day…but accommodation is the stinger.

Maybe camping is an option? Could be good in high summer.

Also, to note: That video footage is from 2019. I guess Thrasher are getting a bit more desperate for content…

It is an interesting, beautiful and rad city for sure.
Hopefully skateboarders won’t treat it like Barcelona.

The bluntslide transfer on that house-sized fence was pretty crazy too!

Loved the fakie nosewheelie 180 out at 1:11ish, quite sexy.

Cab flip over the mini rail that people were only 180ing a few years ago. Mason has become a real GOAT type.

Yeah, he’s been killing it for a few years now. So much power in his skating. I like the fact that he does a lot of fakie shit too.

Agree with evergthing Londonskater said! It’s an amazing place but the cost of living is pretty high so it can drain you a bit depending on what you want to do.

Easy city to cycle around so that’s perfect for transport, Ive been a few times and always camped too so that’s saved a lot of money! If you do something like that where you can cook your own meals too you’ll be sorted! I’ve also never really been to bars etc too, rather beers by the lake at Christiana or other similar spots, nothing better than a late evening cycle for a bbq and beers at a beaut sunset spot.

Bikes were basically free when I went.

Same here.
Some guy living there had a key to unlock the bikes so unlocked a few for whoever needed them.
Flights are inexpensive as was the hostel that we stayed in.
My mate and myself got back too late to be let in so slept, kind of, on the benches outside the hostel.
The moment they opened, we went straight into our little cabin beds for sleep.
Funny night with people passing by assuming we were drunks sleeping on benches.
Not sure if it helps but it had a heart statue in a little street square area and it was graffed up.

Mason Silva section, so rad. Speed, power, everything. Loved that bs 180 up some steps to fakie flip down. No sliding or extra height over the top step, just the right amount of what he needed to get up there. The fs and bs 360s were dope, and that big fs 180 over the gap into that large brickwork Parisian bank was nice too.

As some dude in the YT comments said “strong, fast, intentional skating with a huge bag of tricks and no gimmicks”.

Those banks looks pretty tight and the gap looks fucking massive but yeah dying for a second angle on that front shove at 4.33 !

I’ve been listening to this song loads over the last few months and was always daydreaming about how good it be on a heavy section. Wasn’t disappointed.

did this get posted? it might be one big red bull advert but i must admit it’s still pretty good

i don’t think i’ve rewinded individual tricks on a skate part that much since VHS days. for me when people talk about “tech-gnar” currently it makes me think of people flipping into hand rail tricks like Jamie Foy or Ishod’s ridiculous stair or ledge tech. Mason’s skating is technical and gnarly but different, like he’s doing it much faster and up and over things, does that make any sense? probably not

Completely off topic, because I can’t watch the video (yet, I will when my boss goes home) because I’m at work but it genuinely bothers me that the brand’s name is “Ruca” rather than “Are Vee See Ay”

Really?

Definitely always been Rucca.

I read it as arrr vee see ayy as well. Didn’t even know it was supposed to be something else.

I had no idea, assumed it was just an acronym for something I had no desire to know.

Vid was really nice, nothing outstanding skating, I mean progressive, just good skating and well put together.

Ruca means love or loved one, didn’t any of you listen to sublime growing up
