Got a lot of time for Shanahan and the Sabotage guys in general. He did get called out for being a Kalis cos-player but I certainly don’t feel his style is put on or fake. I think if anything it’s probably more of a homage and comes from a genuine love of that style of skating and the time it came from. He’s not just playing dress up, it’s the full package, trick selection and set up included, (I mean it looks like he’s riding a 7.5 and you’re not doing that unless you really mean it).
That latest part was rad and the Gesner tune added that bit more of a 90’s Habitat-ish feel to it. One of my favourite Shanahan sections is the curtains/ last part in It’s Time, the Bronze vid. The juxtaposition of his dopeness set to Mayhem’s Freezing Moon never fails to get me smirking.
reason for the name is in the vid. wouldn’t be surprised if it was badly spelled on purpose as it seems to originate with that Doobie guy’s special recipe.
Nice ender. Who will be the first person to do a backside version of that (alley-oop 180 to switch 50-50) on a hubba or rail I wonder?
never thought i wanted to see someone skate in skinny jeans ever again but it’s actually a welcome change from every trendy little barry and their honking big boy polar jeans tbh
Saw some Polar jeans on a shop’s IG earlier and I genuinely thought they were some Princess Diana denim slacks from the mid 80s. What shower of fuckwits looked at some old mags and videos from the early 90s and thought that skaters looked cool being inhaled by tents and parachutes?
