The Continually Updated Footage Thread

Sure. Rather than me provide some butchered explanation, I think this image actually captures it somewhat - see how the front foot is causing the board to bend to the right? That’s sort of what I mean - the distribution of weight is ‘away’ from the direction which the board will travel/flip.

Ohhhhhh I get you now. I’ve heard someone else say something similar - create 3/4 of the pressure on the edge that the ball of your back foot is on, 1/4 pressure on the edge of the board that your front heel is on. I dunno my 360 flips are so inconsistent, I either find them really easy or almost impossible and every go is different. I was speaking to Franc about this and I’m going down the weird route of trying to learn pressure flips in order to learn a different “scoop” that might help with tre’s

He didn’t have a board and was skating mine in his goes. Waist high switch double heels and full cab double flips. He was very good, and friendly too.

He did have a guitar and a fedora IIRC

Yeah, that Bastien interview was dope.

A great skateboarder. Undeniably confident.

My tre’s are always bang under me, they don’t go left right etc. Ideally it should helicopter right underneath your feet.
It’s all in the back foot and ankle flick.

That’s a kickflip isn’t it?

You definitely drift over to the side a bit + speed = diagonally to the side

Yeah it’s a kick flip.

Can see why it looks hardflip though, think it’s the way the board looks in the light. But if you frame by frame it, it’s a kick flip

I just don’t really like watching skateboarders in tracksuits and sportswear. Puig, Aurelien, etc. It just looks cack.

The only exception is Louie Jones - his outfits are amazing.

perfect yes. anything less is unsatisfactory

could you also do that one from one of the enjoi/tilt mode videos where the guy floats off after landing the tre?

Same here! And it applies to front shuvs, varial heels and most tricks, especially frontside and backside 180s.

whilst i 100% appreciate that this is the desired result, i don’t understand how you create 360 spin without travel. 360 ollies travel miles
