The long 5050 on the kinked rail to 5050 on the curb was pretty badass too.
Fs shuv (bigspin?) lipslide on Hollywood 12 stood out to me. Ugly, awkward and must have taken a lot of balls to commit to.

I like Clive Dixon and I’m not afraid to admit it.
Lad obviously loves the fuck out of skating, consistently puts out face melting parts (at a productivity level beyond most) and doesn’t seem to give two fucks what is or isn’t cool. He’s the classic inbetweener - a bit too weird for the sportstars, too “jockish” for the snobby art-school waifs. Plus the water tower Thrasher cover was utterly perfect.

You’re right. He’s as skilled as any other A tier skater, but he himself will never be seen that way.
He’s also too closely associated with Clint Walker for me to properly enjoy his skating, but can’t deny the skill.

Not a massive fan of some of his trick selection (grinds to slides) but the things he does right, he does right and his ability is unquestionable and it was a very good part with some massive highlights (more than low). The hillbilly version of the Mouldy Peaches wasn’t even that terrible.
At about 1.45 it looks like he’s smashed a load of bricks from a wall just to give his trucks space on a boad slide.

Current Birdhouse team is tainted by Clint Walker. It’s an odd group anyway but he just makes the whole thing seem douchy
He was also our best hope for a GB gold but I guess he stopped going to the qualifiers.
I enjoyed that. Not sure if it’s one that I’ll come back to at any point though. He makes me think that he’s a proper skate rat and just does his thing and doesn’t care particularly about trick fashions.
He’s really gnarly. He’s also well stinking.
