The Continually Updated Footage Thread

The whole video is great. I was cycling behind Grant Yansura about 5 years ago in CPH near Amager Strandpark, I really wanted to tell him how much I like that video but I chickened out.

The early Weekendtage videos were actually really funny. Then things went downhill when they got picked up by the Berrics/moved to LA

This is really really good.

But having been a part of it, the 90’s worship/rehash also looks a bit like this to me sometimes …

Loved it! Tunes were fine I thought. Love Strawberry Letter 23, made Carlos really sexy looking on a board haha. Jeez that guy is good to watch.

FTC’s Summer ‘21 catalogue is straight out of 93/94 haha

I’m not sold on the ringer T or the oversized chef’s trousers but I could see myself picking up a few of the other bits…looks good to me :+1:

A lot of younger skaters are buying vintage these days. Skate clothing is just so expensive and when it just looks like 90s gear it’s no wonder people are buying the older stuff instead.

Personally still hoping for supermarkets to bring back the unbranded basics. Used to rinse C&A 40" jeans…not the fancy Jinglers ones, the basic ones with no logos or pocket stitching. Used to get them for a tenner, cut the bottoms off, belt em up and you were stylin. Can’t get any decent unbranded basics from supermarkets or cheap clothing places these days. They fuck it up by adding logos or shit details that mark them out as from Tesco or Asda or whatever.

Have a pair of M&S straight fit, right side of loose and a bit of stretch. Nice to skate in. Gone a bit OT now lol

C&A…Now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time. Takes me back. Stripey tees and longsleeves, rugbys, check shirts, jeans, chinos, they had it all, and because all we wanted was massive oversized fat guy stuff it was all on the sale rail and a total bargain.

I don’t know what you mean?

I don’t really mind as long the skating is as good as that though, unless of course it comes the worst of 90s fashion.

We are also seeing the return of the illusion flip.

Unpopular opinion, I never disliked muska flips

Same, I’m a fan. Also really like those fake pressure hardflips that go upwards rather than frontside. Mostly because it’s the only type of “hardflip” I can do.

Nollie ones were a staple in the 90’s.

I mean it can easily come off as looking caricature-esque to me no matter how authentic it is.

100%. Pancake flips

which is good as that is what my nollie 180 flips look like haha

That Jack Olson is obviously a very good skater but there is something so off about his style.

Yeah, I get what you’re saying about his style (or lack of). I posted it mostly because of the footage of the rest of the Real team. Olsen ticks the boxes and gets the job done but there’s not a lot of steeze or flair going on. Technically good yet quite forgettable…and there’s the energy drink sponsor too.
