The Continually Updated Footage Thread

I like the individual typographic titles they’re doing for each rider, I think they’re well done and it helps give each rider a bit of an identity after the team basically being built around Reynolds for so long.

I do agree they need to ease up on the green a bit though. Having said that, some of the footage in this kept switching between the green filter and normal so maybe they’re deliberately starting to shift away from that green overlay effect being so prominent.

I’ve enjoyed most of what Emerica have put out over the last few years - Miner is always reliable and I think Emerica’s video output is one of its main strengths. My only critique is the reliance on this instrumental, stoner rock vibe they’ve been going for over the last few years. I liked the Explosions in the sky period, but not every instrumental band is that good, and the music in this video was maybe starting to get a bit repetitive. It just about worked given the length and overall feel but maybe they could switch it up on the next release.

The brand clearly has a pretty dated aesthetic, but then it was probably looking that way about 5-10 years ago! The quality of skating, filming and editing makes up for all that for me. The skating in this certainly took some unexpected turns so as long as that’s the case for future vids I’ll be happy. I can’t imagine them shifting more product as a result though.

Just rewatched it…I sort of feel like the music had zero peaks & troughs which makes it hard to highlight or really evoke emotion.

I did like that there was a lot of fisheye.

THought this too. Watched it late last night, so could’ve missed a few tricks when I dozed off.

Only watched it once but if my memory serves me correctly, he did a switch lipslide on a low to high ledge thing.

His opening trick is a switch front nose flip which he switch ollies into. Theres a few more and I think it’s only the last 5-6 clips where he doesn’t ollie at all.

Just re-watched it this morning with a clearer head and I think I was being ever so slightly too harsh after the first viewing. Figgy is actually quite enjoyable to watch in this. Music is definitely a bit meh though and I don’t think there is anything the Cali rock jock Colon Provost can do to win me over.

I was enjoying Colin until the 00 days sober T-shirt - sent me right back to meh town after that.

I watched this video and for some reason I tried to imagine these people existing outside of a van, schoolyard or empty parking lot and without their enablers around them. Bringing them to your parents house for dinner or trying to order room service for example. I just can’t without a shudder.
Spanky doesn’t count.

Video did everything I expected it to.

That Mani Haddon part is very dope

With the song choice, I kept expecting Charlie Brooker to keep popping up, chiming in with funny quips about the part.

Really love his skating but I do worry that he does not enjoy what he’s doing. Filmer is filming his face for so long trying to catch some emotion he’s only just catching the tricks.

so much WTF in this.
yeah obviously it is the polar opposite of stylish but still, the stats on some of that floor bouncy shit are mental.

I’m sorry but I couldn’t finish that.

I’m in a really bad mood today, everything is annoying me, and that was about to send me over the edge haha.

How is it possible to make every trick that ugly. It’s like he learnt to triple flip before he learnt to ollie. Horrible.

His kickflips are so unpopped they go underground before he lands them.

Saw this the other day and thought, imagine putting in all those hours and all that hard work into skating just to intentionally look that stinkin’
