Depends what you’re after - he has loads of things people love - perfect flick, level balance, floaty catch. He’s not just a robot.
Biting (unintentionally obvs) Will Sheerin’s song from Welcome 2: Hell
Fakie hard fakie manny revert was ace.
He is very very good - kind of bland PJ from the Flip era.
Who does he ride for?
Just been announced on Primitive in their new vid apparently
He’s just a little bit too clean cut. Can’t really work out how to explain myself but he’s just abit too highly concentrated california.
He’s the Uber-am
I was wondering if he was from Hawaii because of all the rain forest shots.
Gonna check
Just checked - he is from Hawaii - I like him more now
That’s what a lot of people are saying isn’t it. Skatepark kid/good but not innovative/Mike Mo tribute act.
I like it but I like skaters who have the skill and the dedication or autism or whatever it takes to produce really clean footage.
Hawaii is pretty groovy isn’t it?
I wonder what age he moved to San Diego, cos he’s been filming steadily at that one park for a few years right?
Woops, just said groovy un ironically. Mutation into my dad is well underway
I would never have clicked on that if it wasn’t for everyone talking about it. Not heard of him before but I’m really surprised that I enjoyed it.
He’s got a weird ‘definitely would have skated for crailtap in 2008’ vibe. I’m into it
Yeah no doubt it was is enjoyable and there’s some really great stuff.
I think his detraction is that he just lacks abit of edge.
Maybe a poorly chosen TM could peer pressure him into drinking or something
Not that it isn’t fun to watch- don’t get me wrong it’s nice to see that element of skating, I can just see why he’s stuck in the that box
Missed a trick by not calling this ‘Jaeb End’ or ‘Jaeb Enders’.
Same. I always found it hard enough to do without fucking it up as if I’m facing the skater, I’m not keeping an eye on what’s ahead and if I’m looking ahead of me, the skater can go out of shot, despite the all-seeing fisheye. The lines on the pavement also seem to shoot away from the lens, so it looks faster and there’s a massive chance of annihilating the camera with the board.
You’re also generally looking at more of the skater front-on and so he takes up more of the screen - shoulders tend to run across the screen - compared to filming right behind in line with the pushing foot and shoulders run away from the viewer into Z-space, where means the skater takes up less space on camera.
Fucking hell, all I could think about watching this section was this:

Not sure that’s the kinda flavour anyone wants to go for.
Fuck, I just remembered - filming someone years ago, in front - and as you are pretty much constantly facing backwards, you have to trust where you are going at certain points.
I rode backwards into a lampost.
Fuck me, that shook me all the way down to my sole. Fully bodied it.
Ugh.
Hahahahaha man I used to love that show. And The OC ![]()
Hated the Dylan Jaeb part. His instagram clips are cool but that part was drab as shit.
Poor man’s Tom Asta.
There’s that other dude on Primitive and adidas who’s way better, forgot his name. Ledge destroyer.
I just watched the part again - still enjoyed it so I guess I’m a Dylan jaeb fan now. Maybe once he gets on a proper team and gets marketed, a bit more of his personality will come through…
On second watch, the other thing that stood out to me which is perhaps why I liked it (other than the skating) is the filming. It’s all filmed clearly, there’s no face zooms, no quick pans, no trendy shit. It looks like early Ty before he got obsessed with 4K dolly cams. Maybe that’s also not helping the Mike Mo comparison, but I appreciated it.
Mclung is who I meant.
