Stoked on Omar getting the ender, great editing choice there!
Pfanner still going hard for a man in his forties or close to that. Legend.
Lintell has one of the best backside flips ever.
@franc was walking round Sheffield with Beall or maybe moving to a different spot. Started to walk up to Subway 9, Lintell stomped one of the most perfect bs flips over the handrail, just him and Leo there.
I’d say they’ve done a good job of finding some great skaters but not any semblance of a ‘team’
The skating was top tier but that edit just felt like a weak copy of a Limousine vid, had none of the originality, polish or fun that you’d associate with a Crail edit let alone one turning somebody pro
The skating was so sick, wasn’t knocking that. I was replying to the point that Crail have rebuilt their team which I didn’t agree with. It’ll never feel cohesive like it used to.
The best companies currently all come from crews/mates like Girl/Choc did when it started. 2023 Crail just feels like a shell
I think Crails decline, was mainly due to Rick/Mike/ whoever calls the shots just getting older and transitioning away from skating and being out of touch and just making some shit moves (Trunk Boys, Brophy pro, keeping on legacy pros for far too long, letting Ty make Pretty Sweet)
Reynolds is still a skate rat at heart so has kept his finger on the pulse which makes Baker the exception of older pro running a company. FA lucked out but getting the Cherry crew at the right time and now seem to be struggling a bit
Saw McCrank, Koston and P-Rod on the U.K. éS tour, he was so good in the flesh too.
It does feel like Crailtap have been plugging up the holes in a sinking ship for a while. Instead of making smart moves in recruitment. Just chucking sponsorship at anyone half decent. Never a massive fan of Mike Mo (style) or Malto (he’ll always look like a 15 year old skating) too. Just a personal thing. I liked MJ and Hsu getting on Chocolate, as it made sense to me, after losing some older legends, just add some new older legends.
