The Continually Updated Footage Thread

That’s what I tried. Backside one.
Could get up to it but struggled to stand up on it. Tired legs.
Went back a few days later to have another pop and it was skate stopped.

Backside Noseblunt is still insane. TBH, even getting up into a backlip seems wild to me - just getting that back truck over the top is a feat.

Haha I’m probably not bettter!

I was there 2002.

I remember thinking if I had a whole summer I’d probably be able to noseslide it, like @Londonskater was saying.

Sixty years old and still out there keeping it real in the streets. This put a smile on my face.

Ron Allen is fucking rad and I very much enjoyed that.

What a legend.

I quite want that shaped 8.75 guest board.

Pro skater or not, it’s brave taking slams on your hips like that at 60.

My first new pro board was a sale rail Life Ron Allen. He was probably knocking on 30 back then as I was early teens. Amazing.

Broken hips are no joke. My grandma was pretty active and then out of nowhere fell and broke her hip. She really struggled after that.

Pointless random post but Ron rules. Illegal or not I’m relearning front 180 fakie 50-50 fakie front 180 out in his honour. IDGAF.

Still incredible.

This guy always makes me so happy when I watch him, to a level no other skater does , 60 years old and ripping that well with the youth of a 20 year old still .
The smile it brings knowing the potential to still skate well at 60 is something else .

Ron Allen Is a massive sick Cunnt

New Quasi. It’s alright.

Just watched that new Quasi thing.
Some really interesting unseen spots and some cool skating.
Rizzo’s track though - wtf?
Agree re The Fall track - seemed like a random choice. That said I did like how the guy who skated to it wore every possible shoe brand

I dunno mate - AWS aesthetic made sense - it was self referential - their ads, videos and board graphics all tied together and were consistent.
Quasi doesn’t feel like that to me - all those weird momentary cut aways to people’s faces in that ‘Dixie bit’ are a good example of their fragmentary non-cohesive approach - there was no overarching narrative or aesthetic choice there for me.
More a case of - let’s film some poor people and then blipvert it to look cerebral.

I used Diskhat in a vid last year lol, loops really well meaning I could drag it out to fill what I had for the montage.

That The Fall track didn’t fit for me either.

I had two thoughts when it came on.

  1. Fuck. Wish I’d used that somewhere.
  2. Oh, it doesn’t matter. You have already used it anyway.

ha ha.

As soon as I heard it I knew it had to be used for something and at the time, we had a few lil edits on the go for Insta (but wanted to use it for something more, like a part).

There’s not many Aphex tracks that would work with skating!
