I find Get Lesta vids a snooze fest. If you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all.
I have indeed seen them all, purchased two videos and watched Sweetheart. If you take away the incredible skating, there’s not a huge amount going on. I’m gonna get hated on big time for saying that, but that’s been on my chest for years and years.

What the name?
No everything about them, the videos don’t get brought up or mentioned by anyone despite a lot of people seeing them as really ground-breaking at the time. I feel like the explosion of UK scene videos in the past couple of years will be remembered fondly.
I’ve not watched this new video in full and I’m not going to but skipping around a bit it feels so stale no matter how ‘good’ the skating is

The shift away from crews or companies is really big now, because of the way we use insta the focus is more on individual skaters.
But collectively probably the groups referenced the most now might be

Yeah well put regarding the move away from crews but on a more scene video level the Welcome/Leeds videos and all the scene vids coming out the South East (EDIT: And yes that Now Thats What I call Skateboarding vid is a classic)
The way some people talked about Get Lesta vids a few years back you’d think they’d stick in the collective consciousness a little more than they did. Obviously with the influx of content and the move away from hard copy full lengths like they did the times have changed a bit but are people really like lets stick a Get Lesta vid on before skating in 2025
I believe he means the skating is strong but the edit/vibe/personality is lacking.
I wouldn’t want to shit on a full length that’s just come out because I do really love independent skate videos but it’s very understandable to me that people don’t want a full length filmed heavily in Milton Keynes, buszy/that two trick white ledge spot they rinsed.
Massive respect for bushy and he did some bat shit stuff, but could have benefitted from better editing / thinking a bit wider than clean ledge spots.
The first videos deffo felt like they had more personality when it was all lesta centric mates squeezing everything they could out of thei surroundings

Also editing your last part to a really really rinsed Ghostface track is hilarious
I think with GL it comes down to there having zero personality in anything that they did which to me is what gives rewatchability and leaves an impression. The crew just seemed like they went on their mission to some bland midland schoolyard or retail park, got their clips and then all went home and they don’t talk about anything more than skating amongst themselves
