I definitely am - if you mean of Vincent of course.
His backstory is really cool and he is community and family-minded despite the Olympic stuff. He had a great interview in Free as he was beginning to blow up.
I’ll look now.
Free interview is here - worth a read if people haven’t before.
This bit is great in particular.
You just didn’t have a choice; you just had to frontside blunt El Toro for people to stop taking the piss out of you ha ha.
Obviously it wasn’t like that… It’s not like I went to America thinking, ‘I’m going do these tricks and fuck shit up.’ It happened naturally. Although it would be pretty nice if I was at the top of those stairs like, ‘fuck man, I’ve been stinking for too many years, I just have to commit to this to make up for it,’ ha ha.
Agreed. In some senses at least.
I was hoping he’d end up on Girl or Chocolate but I’m assuming Element have much deeper pockets in terms of a board sponsor.
His style and skill level is amazing to me, but the fact that he skates fucked up hubbas and rails like that and has impeccable dress sense too, makes him even more endearing.
I’ve never met him but I’ve watched him skate in real life a few times and it’s nuts.
The way he is with people seems to be really kind and accommodating too.
I’m into this character arc.
Same, but surprised Element put him on as they haven’t seemed to be an especially healthy business in the last few years. Weren’t they getting rid of riders? The team is way smaller now than during the Peace era, and they closed all their stores.
That probably says as much about relative pocket sizes across the skate hard goods world as it does about Element to be honest.
I’m really only talking about his skating. He comes across really good as a person, seems so positive and fun. Will check that link as I don’t know anything about him.
Some things he does i’m like YES! and others I find myself thinking nothing as if i’m seeing two different people. His frontside flip to stuff stints in street league bored me even though it should be mind blowing but I think that’s just street leagues fault for being so sterile so I stopped watching a good while ago. I think I really like this part, just watched again. Music… nah.
Some wild stuff in there. Uphill horseshoe kickflip fakie manual was magic.
I liked the tunnel line on the Girl deck (Milou part).
Girl / Chocolate as much as it pains me to say it are surely cooked at this point.
Edglrd
Watch this at lunch tomorrow and give my comments everyone is desperate to read.
Love a rough cut.
This one is long but full of really gnarly shit done casually.
I thought the drop in off the bridge into the narrow bank was particularly wild.
“Sacked my pit dude.”
watched this too - great stuff.
i’ve hung out with james craig a fair bit [/cmoac]
100% super nice guy. he loves partridge too
Didn’t expect that! Awesome.
Is this another ripper the crail camp are going to sleep on?
I would have loved this at one point in my life. Now it looks like pure hell. Im not getting my board wet!
