Got sold, now it’s got people like Salabanzi on, think Mike York on Blueprint. Basically get an over the hill’ish well known pro to front the ‘come back’ with a bunch of other people, chuck them in a edit, with choices that fly in the face of what people did like about the company once. Hey presto people start to care even less…
The guy is basically still as good as he was when he was the absolute best.
And he’s as mysterious as Penny when he disappeared for like 5 years. You don’t know a thing about him, you don’t even know if he has sponsors. You just know he skates loads.
I could watch 8 hours of him skating a park like this.
Oh and he has quite a naturally distinctive push. Reminded me of that last line in the Coliseum vid. WOW.
Damn, I want to transport my body back in time and session that park right then.
I do weirdly like Dan but damn he talked bollocks and he looks so ugly on a board. I think he really knows this though.
Thing is, he’s insanely consistent with the bullshit he does and it can be impressive. Thing is, if any one of our top tier idols did any one that he does, the world would lose their shit.
So yeah, Dan is really hard to watch but kinda intriguing at the same time.
I get why people rubberneck on the roads I guess.
I hate him and his terrible style/trick selection. I had to watch the PJ video on mute.
Never forget he said this on some shitty podcast when his mate found out that he had started dating a girl they skate with who was like 11 years younger than him….
