Re Austyn
Austyn at least has some tasteful fits going on, unlike fellow shirt wearer Vincent Milou who usually looks like he’s just come straight from the office
Straight from the office to kickflip fs lipslide a 15 stair rail sounds good to me.
Sacrilege - Vincent is far superior in every way.
Plus Austyn cool-guyed him off Globe as part of his ‘re-brand’ only for Vincent to get a way better deal on adidas.
I cant be the only one who sees Austin as a self centered prick?
Yes he’s amazing on a skateboard but I feel like almost everyone who’s had to deal with his personally comes away from the experience disappointed.
Yeah and have you seen one person wearing Globe since he got in charge of making it cool? No, you have not, because nobody has.
There’s something ironic about wanking to your own footage when you film fakie bigspin flips anyway.
I am surprised by my shirt comment being controversial. Growing up a shirt was something to be worn for interviews, marriages/deaths and your aunties birthday meal
How does anyone get ‘cool-guyed’ off Globe? That’s like getting kicked off Cariuma then getting a spot on NB.
It’s tricky. There is a long list of people who have pulled it off. Think MJ or Ratray’s killer bees shirt, but also an equally long list of people who have fucked it up, Shier skating in some sort of cheese cloth open shirt and high waters sticks out to me as being particularly heinous.
Well when you have Austyn’s sense of self-importance and the backing of a company with surf money, the stupidity you can achieve is limitless.
One of my wife’s partners has the Austyn Globe shoe!
He doesn’t skate though.
Do they wear a shirt???
Sounds like you need a gaycation
Shirts are fine, it’s how you where it is where the problems come in. I used to wear shirts all the time in the early days.
Mid 90s Stereo shut down shirt wearing. Dune, Jason Lee, Ethan Fowler. Will probably never be bettered. Rick Howard and Ray Barbee for the short sleeve version.
I will surrender myself: mind, body and soul
Short sleeve shirts are almost impossible to pull off without looking like a used car or ice cream salesman
is the fella confusing shirts with suit jackets?
I dislike short sleeve shirts too. Long sleeve ftw, but sleeves rolled up a bit is a good look if you want to go a bit shorter.
Rick Howard is the only one that gets a pass in my book. There is always an exception to the rule.
