Colin’s sort of developed a reputation as the ‘guy who airs out of banks’ but I thought this showed a bit more than what we’ve got used to. Also I think the fact he’s like 6’5 hides just how big some of this stuff is
very very very nice
There were still a lot of these…
Provost is a bit like Riley Hawk - incredible skaters but the upright styles and tight jeans don’t do it for me. Liked the part and all the others, but it and the video have lacked that real ‘wow’ factor that most notable videos have nowadays. Can’t quite put my finger on it.
Edit: actually, the Axle part had something about it.
Whoa I don’t dislike Colin but Riley is much more interesting
Nah this was nowhere near the levels of Strobeck. Lovely edit this. Enjoyed every second of it!
Colin Provost is a bit stinking right? He’s obviously very good but is anyone getting stoked on his skateboarding?
I was pretty stoked. Some of those pops and catches are insane. Just snaps up to his feet. But yeah, his getup makes him less watchable usually.
I dunno if he’s stinking, his style is fine and he isn’t a kook. But he is lacking something and I dont know what it is - I can’t really get too excited about his stuff, as good as it is
I am loving Programming Injection generally tho
Got round to watching this over the weekend and wanted it to be longer.
WTF is up with this song.
It’s void of any feeling and a complete mismatch.
Just like Ricta’s wheels then.
Fuck, that place is impossible to skate in that fashion. He must be there every day.
He’s so good. Was skating with him a few years ago and he was absolutely wasted doing the roll-in switch.
April part is pretty good.
It feels kind of Supreme-ish but without motion sickness, and on the other coast.
Really liked that Untitled 04. Felt like I was watching a skate video and not just a short section of skateboarding. Maybe it was all the motion graphics? It felt slower that a lot of what’s coming out now, but still kept me interested in it. Just filmed and edited really well, I guess. Plus Nik Stain cameo and the Kevin Liedtke kickflips.
I need to go back and rewatch the rest of this Chris Mulhern series.
