Not having that. That created the time for today.

They just missed a huge % of chances. They take a few more of those and this day might not have even been needed.

There was still lots of overs left to play this evening. Could have gone on, light depending. 30-40 more runs would have made the task that bit more daunting for Australia.

But if they took their chances Australia would’ve been a hell of a lot more than 30 or 40 hypothetical runs behind.

It is what it is. Loads of ifs after every match in any sport.

Hopefully England absolutely dick them in the second test.

Just throwing it out there, but would anyone like to come to some Kent T20 games this summer.

My grandad played and was President there and they gave a lifetime season ticket thing when he passed away.

Just gotta get there

This is a total freakshow

Give them the urn.

They’d need to get to the end of play losing no more wickets to have even a slight chance. I think Australia are just better all round, batting and bowling. Be interesting without Lyon for the rest of the series though.

McGrath losing it on TMS!

Absolutely fuuuuuuuuuuming.

Don’t think it will make a blind bit of difference though.

Bairstow ducked a short-pitched delivery then walked down the wicket to talk to Stokes and the wicket keeper’s just underarmed it to run him out. I think technically the ball’s not dead, but it’s really unsportsmanlike. There’s a clip of it here.

That has to be one of the most incredible sessions of cricket you can see.

Cheating BASTARDS!

Aussies getting booed in the long room!

Dude that was a wicky mankad. He’d watched him walk out and pre-meditated it.

Wicky keepers do not throw balls in like that. It just doesn’t happen. Absolutely stinking

Yeah. Thats how people justify Mankads.

It’s cheating inside the rules. It’s 100% morally wrong no matter who is doing it.

With mankadding the batsman is getting an advantage by going out of the non-striker’s crease before the bowler bowls. Often batsmen are halfway down the wicket in a tense situation just as the bowler is releasing the ball. Bairstow isn’t getting an advantage there. It’s not cheating but yeah it is stinking.

I thought it was very canny keeping from Carey and borderline arrogant from Bairstow. As a wicketkeeper himself, he should know the batter does not decide when a ball is dead.

Good point actually, the timing makes it more justifiable. Bairstow’s started walking before it’s hit the keeper’s gloves.

Cook just said on TMS it’s basically the same as a Mankad and I 100% agree with him.

I can’t breathe watching this. My uncle is there the lucky Michael Fabricant. Says the atmosphere is incredible
