dunno if i’m being very very stupid here but why don’t jeans come pre-washed?
i haven’t got time to do a separate cold wash or whatever bollocks you’re meant to do to stop them shrinking like, had two pairs of those volcom jeans and they were such a sick fit now they’re way tighter and annoying as fuck
is that a thing? i got bin juice down the leg putting the recycling out the other day like dunno if sticking them in the freezer would resolve that aha
I wash my jeans and tees at 30 and never put anything in the tumble dryer. Got 3 pairs of nice Volcom jeans and they haven’t shrunk or anything.
Get some Vanish stain remover, spray that onto the stain(s), let it work for 5 minutes (not less, ideally not more), put your stained clothes in the machine and wash at 40. That will do the job.
If it doesn’t, you’ll have stained jeans and will look tough, even if you don’t have tattoos. It’ll work though.
I hand wash all my jeans because I freak out about things shrinking if they fit perfect.
Grab an empty plastic basin/vessel of some sort and fill it halfway with lukewarm water, chuck in a dash of Ariel gel, or whatever, then submerge your jeans, give them a swirl, and leave to soak for half an hour to an hour.
Pour the water out, then rinse them through with cold water, ring them out by hand and either hang dry or radiator dry.
My favourite pair of 511s are pretty fucked after three years of skating in them so often, but I’ve always washed them that way and the sizing hasn’t changed whatsoever. Hand washing seems to wash the colour out a lot less than a machine wash does too.
the original post was more along the lines of me being annoyed that i should have to wash something separately that i’ve just paid x amount of money for otherwise it’ll shrink and be shite but i appreciate the washing tips anyway lads
bought one pair of levi’s in my life - the skate 503s (i think) 10 years back. the stiffest, most rigid and uncomfortable trousers ever. after 5 -7 years of wearing them they would still basically stand up on their own. no idea how anyone was ever supposed to skate in them. (good resale value though, got rid of them on ebay for almost what i paid for them)
i only bought tracky bottoms after i turned 40, what a revelation! the comfort, the freedom.
found a pair of Champion swishy tech trousers in Sports Direct a few years ago for £10 when i wanted the palace look -. i know i am too old for them but still bust them out when the weather is right
had a couple of pairs of altamont chinos that i barely wore as the waist was too big and the legs were not quite right on one pair, and the colour of the other pair was a weird shade of green. got the little dry cleaner bloke up the road to cut them into shorts and take 2 inches off the waist and they both became the best shorts ever… thought it was funny how the colour was really odd for trousers but worked really well for shorts
Really nice! It’s gonna come in handy in your Alzheimer’s days too.
Nah, seriously, I love the fact that you got your mate to poke it, that’s much cooler than getting any kind of overstyled lettering by a tattoo artist you’ve never met.
Got 2 pairs of Rothco cargos (tan and ripstop camo) lost in the brexit post by parcel2go plus a load of Christmas presents for my daughter sent by my parents. Not fucking stoked.
Was sent before Christmas and my dad didn’t bother filling out the paperwork for customs (UK → EU) because he ‘didn’t think it would matter that much’.
Well, look what happens, fuckhead.
I could be running camo cargos and lynx right now. You’ve ruined Christmas.
