Know a lad whose parents won £2.2 million. He is pretty sound and they seem happy. They went public, pic in the papers holding the cheque, ect… which seems a massive mistake to me. I’m not telling anyone if I ever win.

My Mum and Dad’s mate won the new year millionaire thing and won £1m in his 60s. Basically just bought a caravan by the sea, gave his kids a bit and just foes what he wants. Sad to say that if most of us won £1m now in our 30s/40s itd pay off the mortgage and set the kids up but it wouldnt mean Im retiring unless its Euromillions

We live close by a uni, so when my son was 3 I taught him to say ‘smelly student’ every time he saw one. 3 years on he’s still doing it :joy: My wife doesn’t think it’s so funny.

What board is that? Nice shape

It’s the Note skate shop day board from last year. I think they are Deluxe boards?

How would you climb that?

The lighter, amber weathered/repaired brick is slightly more indented than the other bricks so it’s a very small hold but possible to use. Then there’s another hold and one or two useable footholds so I think it’s possible for sure. It’ll be quite hard I think and may need a boulder pad. The crux (hardest part) will be lower down I think.

There’s a lot of scope for buildering (bouldering) in the area and I’m going to write a guidbook in the form of a zine that I’m going to give out for free in the climbing centre.

Respect for that photo @nedertron This thread/real life interface = historical awareness.
Strong work.
Posting this in response for those who don’t know that spot.
