Darren till might be the most frustrating fighter in the ufc. On paper he should be much better than his recent record implys. I dint undersyand him at all anymore. For someone billed as a muay thai fighter he doesnt throw kicks, definitely not anywhere near enough to call himself a muay thai fighter. He seems so terrified of throwing kicks in case the get caught and he gets taken down that he is apprehensive to throw them. But then he gets taken down so easily anyway he might as well throw them.
His take down defence is awful. I honestly think if he threw kicks like a muay thai fighter that he is and worked on his take down defence like wonderboy does he could ve a real problem. But right now he fights wonderboy agsin and he gets destroyed. Thats just mental to me.
I just dont undestand whats happened. Im not writing him off but after a the training with kamzat i was exoecting at least decent takedown defence.
His confidence looks shot.
Its a real shame. Hes not done but needs a massive chsnge somewhere, team, camp, something

Damn Volk got close. Shows the dagistani wrestling model can be beaten.

Moral victory for Volk. Went up a weight class and pushed Macka for all 5 rounds. Looked tiny against him too. Macka nowhere near finishing him despite the weight/height advantage.

Stupid I reckon. The lasting damage from that injury in addition to the already injured shoulder he came into the fight with could be far worse for his career than accepting the loss, learning the lesson and coming back stronger.
