Ukraine and Russia

Poland have started building defences on their eastern border with Russia.

Shit is getting very real here in the baltics. Lots of crisis prevention ads on TV as well (stock up with dried food/water etc)

One of my work colleagues whose neighbour is a First AD ( assistant director) was told that major studios are pulling all productions out of Eastern Europe because of the potential conflict. They’re moving most stuff to the uk and one film that had only 2 months left to shoot has all been shipped to leavesden studios to finish off .

Something they know and we don’t ? Not a good sign

What would be your ‘time to flee’ moment? What would have to happen before you start making moves? @Mark

Not had that chat yet but probably if either NATO troops get involved or if any of the other Baltic states have incursions by Russia

I honestly don’t see where Russia would get any motivated troops skilled enough to open a new front. Estimated to be losing over a thousand a day in Ukraine. Their professional army got killed a long time ago, they are going to need a pause to rebuild it before pushing more (which they have done before and why they are now making hints of some kind of ceasefire or negotiation (which they historically always renege on))

Pre-empting a Trump win? He’d give Vlad a green light? Though Europe is more invested than the US

Reading your post makes it sound like Russia’s about to invade…

I couldn’t find anything in mainstream media bizarrely but this article explains that these preventive measures are to do what they say on the tin but works won’t be finished till 2028.
Still very sad and worrying that it’s coming to this.

This. And also North Korea sent troops which Russia have been training and are expected to be deployed soon. Could see more international escalation.

Also Poland has a long history of Russian invasions!

Sad to see physical border walls coming back to Europe. I think it’s inevitable though as the world seems to be headed on a path of splitting into BRICS vs G7.

This is very amusing

My brothers mate is in Estonia with the artillery corps

Shit is about to escalate! Technically means NATO is now involved!

Trump will be hating this, which makes it even better. Hope Ukraine fire everything they’ve got in the next 2 months til Donny gets in power and batter Russia.

About time they got to use those weapons

Looks like Biden is trying to pull a “what Trump did with Afghanistan” before he left - leave things a shit show and enjoy the show while Donny has to go cap in hand to his masters

It begins.

I don’t understand how this helps Ukraine to defend its borders? What’s going on? Can someone break it down for me?

"Meanwhile, earlier on Tuesday, Putin approved changes to Russia’s nuclear doctrine, setting out new conditions under which the country would consider using its arsenal.

It now says an attack from a non-nuclear state, if backed by a nuclear power, will be treated as a joint assault on Russia."

So… Russia has given itself permission to fire nukes at NATO countries.

Basic supply chain disruption.

Also - Hit the airfields being used by the bombers/drones so they can’t take off.

Sort of helps a little.

Being able to take out ammunition depots will stop Russia from bombing their borders for one I guess? Also North Korea has sent over 10,000 troops and that has changed the whole dynamic of the war. While other countries were just supplying weapons to each country, as long as no other troops had boots on the ground it was still just the two countries at war with each other and whoever won, won now North Korea has changed all that.
