I dont really mind. It does what it says on the tin.
Haha I like that one, v. relevant.
Doesn’t roll off the tongue tho
See-mo-ack
You think DLX can afford a lawyer?
Also the irony of sending a cease and desist to 30 odd middle aged skaters who, speaking personally, sadly ceased and desisted skating regularly years ago….
Am sure Deluxe committed their fair share of copyright theft BITD
How about www.britslap.com?
The DLX logo does look cool but I’m not really a fan of skate brands ripping off other still active skate brands. My local shop does both hoodies in the Thrasher font and boards in the Baker font and it just seems weird and lazy. That’s just me though, and I don’t have any better ideas. Pavement forum? Network 27?
Tapestry Bitches?
I always thought that Pavement would have been a better name for Sidewalk, once it dropped the surfer suffix.
Re: the question of a rebrand, with apologies to LA, may I re-pitch this idea…
Delightful homo-eroticism aside… rebrands generally accompany a desire to be something more than you currently are…
Which I guess begs the question, what do you want the forum to be @Mark?
Do you want to grow it? Make it more X, Y or Z?
Answering, or even asking those questions (aka figuring out what they are) might help work out what to do re the brand.
This or some mutation of it is on my shortlist, along with a load of other totally random stuff
I like the Pavement / mutation idea.
I always wanted it to be a more mature version of Slap but UK centric. I rarely rarely go on Slap (maybe once every 6 months?) but that’s the vibe I get there, so I suppose it is. I have no metric to measure matureness btw, this is just going off gut feeling. Of course Slap is bigger and has more industry heads and the gossip there is much jucier.
I was thinking it’d be nice to make some tees or sweats and then I thought ‘would I wear one with current logo/name?’ and the answer is a solid ‘fuck no’. It would look a bit crap on a hoody.
My entire criteria can be boiled down to ‘Will it look ok in a collegiate font on a white sweat?’
Ill have a word with jim, we’ll be fine
