Things do respawn, think it’s when a day passes in the game? Can’t remember
To cook things go into inventory and hold them, then drop them into the fire. If there’s a pot on the fire I think you can directly place things into the pot without going into inventory
The R button on the shoulder of the switch selects bow. The Y button selects melee if I remember correctly
You can cycle between shields and melee weapons using the arrow keys and right thumb stick
Aaah i do you have to use the magnet ability to out the pot on the fire?!
I saw a tip on a loading screen on how to dodge attacks. I’ve just been getting clobbered trying to run around mashing butons. It’s starting to come together…
i love how your posts are half-exasperated and half-stoked
you can leave the pot in the fire if you want to make stews. couple of mushrooms and fruits will make a fruit/veg stew that restores 5 hearts
there’s a MASSIVE recipe thing online (and in game) for the stews
worth mentioning that if you don’t want to do the main quests of this game you can do loads of weird shit. my kid became a horse trainer/stable owner for weeks. you can become a clothes/fashion collector/trader. you can become a chef. there’s so much random shit you can do whilst wandering about
google “korok seeds” and go down the BOTW rabbit hole into wonderland
my mate chatted to one of the staff and he talked about those surf skate things too so i think you might be right and its just a shit ramp for normal skaters
At stables and villages there’s fires with a pot on top. Mix random meat and fruit and stuff and you will cook something that gives extra hearts or extra stealth etc.
Don’t sell ancient parts because you’ll want to keep them to build ancient arrows and armour in the Akkala Tech Lab.
Once you’ve done the shrines that give you all the abilities, open every tower.
There’s no shame in googling how to find certain items like clothes that help in the cold etc.
At first I didn’t want to give it the time but now I’m crushing it and have full hearts and energy, loads of clothes etc.
Just open menu in game and purchase DLC it’s about £17 and is basically more main objectives than the main game added.
There’s 1 new objective called trial of the sword which is 51 boss levels and when you complete them the master sword goes to permanent 60 damage and never runs out of energy.
I dint think I mentioned the surf skates thing because I didn’t know what they were. I do now after going there today. Yes a few of those being used on the ramp.
Pros:
The micro quarters are quite fun.
Close proximity to my house
Free
The food and drink at The Wave is banging
Cons:
Children using the ramp as a playpark
Parents letting their toddlers use the ramp as a playpark
Microscooters
Both sets of afore-mentioned kids getting wet muddy feet all over the ramp
The actual mini bit is unbelievably whippy. From flat bottom to the coping in a microsecond
the actual mini part isnt really wide enough to grind
it’s not really possible to pump between the two micro quarters
the massive bit betwen the carpark and the actual place
I’m on the cusp of selling my collection. I have a weird emotional attachment to many games but they’re sat in big plastic tubs in the loft. All my consoles are boxed. Starting with the games I have in my office that are still sealed….
It’ll take a while but I might as well sell them on so others can get some enjoyment, but it’ll be fun getting everything down for testing, however I’ll have to find my original PlayStation which is at my dads house as I won’t be able to test the import games.
Some will be painful as they’re worth nothing, but surprised at the sold values of some games I have.
It’s sad to get rid of. But to be fair, it’s not that hard to get hold of emulators or clone consoles that can play most things on.
A few years ago I got rid of 2 master systems, mega drive, n64 and a ps2. I don’t think I’ve had the urge to play any of the old games I had for them since. Think I’ve only played on the switch in the last 4 years.
